Yum Yummy Yuck

The Mommies Reviews

This morning is David’s Birthday we’ll be going down to Granny Sherry’s to spend time with Elijah and Leslie after having breakfast with Nancy in the morning.

I was gathering things Nancy asked me to bring her I found a couple children’s books I thought Elijah might enjoy having his parents read to him.

Including Yum Yum Yummy Yum which is written by Cree lane + Amanda Jane Jones. Isn’t the title cute? If you haven’t seen this book then I hope you will pick a copy of for your family.

I liked the big Orange on the front of Yum Yummy Yuck , Charlie said that the picture might be a Pumpkin. I think you should check the novel out for yourself and see. Inside the book is full of colorful drawings which Charlie can practice in our Art class.

A couple pages have just one word on them. In no, time I know Elijah will be reading Yum Yummy Yuck to his parents. Including his granddad David and his great grand mother Sherry.

As I read through Yum Yummy Yuck and came to the page that mentions boogers I knew Yum Yummy Yuck would be a book any little boy would enjoy reading. Especially Elijah because boogers are yucky and make mommy squeal.

There is a picture of band aids which Elijah is obsessed with. Charlie was the same way when he was little. In fact I should have taken stock out in Band Aids. I would have been rich. Was it this way in your home as well?

A page that reminds us to not eat sand. Which I don’t think I ever did. My parents swear I ate mud. Before you ask no, you can’t ask them because they are no, longer here.

I also like how they remind us coins goes into Piggy Banks. To surprise Elijah I had a bag of coins for Leslie to give him when they read the novel and they came to this page because he does have a Piggy Bank. Do you?

The Authors reminded us crayons looks yummy but they can be deceiving. Even though there pretty we shouldn’t eat them. Another page I liked was when they reminded us to always brush our teeth.

Even though Yum Yummy Yuck is fun has many teaching moments this novel isn’t for children because adults can learn from it as well. I can see parents using this in Homeschooling. Teachers will be reading Yum Yummy Yuck to there students.
