You’re not a real parent until… (You’re Not a Real ____ Until… Series) by Scott Dooley (Author), Jason Chatfield (Author) a parenting book I was sent to me in exchange for a review. This cute little book is the perfect addition to this year’s Mother’s Day Gif Guide 2023.

Mother’s Day means something different to everyone. For me it’s both a happy time as I have both Suzzane and Charlie. Not only that Suzzie was born on Mother’s Day but now she is in Heaven and Charlie will be 16 at Christmas. As I looked back through the book, I felt myself shaking my head at a lot of the things the Author shared with me.

As well as still face some of them and some of them haven’t come true yet, like Charlie driving which will happen this year. Or things Charlie never did like cut his own hair but friends children did do this at times. By the time I got to the end of the book which even covers adults I found myself becoming misty eyed and not wanting the book to end.

Even if you’ve never had children, I am sure you can still learn from this novel and will even find things that will make you chuckle at times. This book is for adults but I shared the novel with my teen, and we discussed things he did and didn’t do and had funny relieving memories we both remembered, and you should do the same.
