Good morning, what a day this has been I was up early already for a brand new month. Although I didn’t think to ask God what his plans was for the day. As I woke up to no internet and it’s wasn’t just me it was the entire City. Man on man I was mad, upset and beyond frustrated.
I had things I needed to get done as my dad is coming in on Friday. It is Sunday and Charlie is home and getting work done when he is here is challenging. Then low and behold David comes home early. Good gracious Mrs. Molly is this how October is going to be? Should I just throw in the towel and go back to bed?
As I had so many plans for today and it was the beginning of the Ultimate Blog Challenge which I had been waiting for. So finally I just sent Charlie outside to play and I grabbed a book and went into my room to read for a while. Once I stopped worrying about all I was or wasn’t getting done I walked back into the living room and the internet was back up.
All I could say was “Thank you Jesus” I will not get distracted again now I know what my priorities are and I will stay on track. When my family is home the computer will be off and we will spend time together. No, matter what I might or might not get done. Because tomorrow isn’t promised and one day one of us might not be here.
I would like to let you know I have launched this year’s Christmas Gift Guide yesterday and this is the first day in the Ultimate Blog Challenge which I am so excited to be a part of. As I was reading through the email we receive each day from the Host of the Ultimate Blog Challenge with a prompt in it giving us suggestion on what to post today I thought I would share it with you. As there is still time for you to join us in the challenge.
“Share with your readers that you are involved with the Ultimate Blog Challenge and let them know what it is about. Let them know that you will be blogging each day during October and why you have taken on the Ultimate Blogging Challenge!
So as you all know I have signed up for the Ultimate Blog Challenge and the goal is to blog each day during the month of October and I did participate in the last challenge and I was able to post each day. Now, even if I do not make it this month I am going to give it my best shot. As I made a lot of new friends in the last challenge that I want to catch back up with as well as make new friends. Plus, I want to become more consistent in my blogging.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
Nice to meet you, Glenda! I look forward to learning and blogging with you this month!
Carrie
You are so right. No one is promised tomorrow. Taking time to enjoy your family is fabulous. Glad you were able to get back on track once your internet was renewed. Technical delays usually stop me in my tracks. I will remember your idea of going off alone to write and think for a few minutes. Great post, thanks for sharing. I hope UBC does encourage you to be post as consistently as you are hoping.
Hi Glenda, Charlie and David: I’ve signed up for the Ultimate Blog Challenge too. I did one last year and it was fun! Wishing you lots of hits and comments on your site. I can’t wait to check out some of the Halloween stuff!
So glad you made it Glenda! With busy schedules, all we can do is give it our best shot! Looking forward to reading your adventures and tell Charlie I said hi!
Looking forward to seeing what you have coming!
