#Sponsored I would like to introduce you to a new book I wanted to check out because I loved the cover of the book. It’s called Wormwood! by D.H. Nevins. I received a copy of the book from Voracious Readers and the Author in exchange for this review. In this post is my affiliate links. Wormwood! weaves a story through what the biblical end times might look like and if I was to ask the genre of book this was I would have to say it’s post-apocalyptic It’s a. The story can be dark at times. Kali is a survivor – strong and resourceful, but not without her vulnerabilities. She’s a character worth rooting for and can kick a little ass.
In Wormwood the Author introduces us to Kali who is wracked by conflicts from all sides, both external and within – and it’s the internal conflicts that are really interesting. She is thrust into a love/hate relationship with an angelic demon (or demonic angel?) that she’s irrevocably connected to, and must navigate a world with a band of survivors that she’s not sure she’s ready to lead.
The world-building is unique – though it takes the story a while for everything to fall into place but it makes for a thrilling ride with plenty of surprising moments and some pulse-quickening set pieces. Suspenseful, dramatic and even romantic is what you will find in this book. This isn’t the usual books I read but I wanted to branch out and I did like it but I am not sure if I will read other books in this genre or not.
About the book:

Yet in a moment of weakness, he risks everything to rescue a hiker named Kali from the very destruction he initiated. Kali, plagued by a legion of Nephilim bent on sending her on, is forced to trust Tiamat – the one being who could prove to be her greatest enemy
