WOO WOO Baby: Astrology

The Mommies Reviews

Welcome to Monday morning the last Monday in August. Can you believe that? We closed our Back-To-School Gift Guide 23 last Friday and we will be opening our Halloween Gift Guide 23 and our Christmas Gift Guide 23 soon. Before we begin school this morning, I wanted to bring you a new children’s book WOO WOO Baby: Astrology art by Neil Clark which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.

When my mom was here, I remember her sitting at the dining room table reding her Horoscope and asking her what she was doing. From learning about our Horoscope from her I would check mine as well. But as the years went on, I forget about it but now that Charlie is homeschooling this would be a fun project for us to do each morning.

With Charlie’s fascination with the Stars and Planets we can also study Astrology and having WOO WOO Baby: Astrology is a good way for us to begin our studies. Even though the book is for younger children anyone who takes the time to read the story can and will learn facts they didn’t know about Astrology.

Charlie and I had fun learning about constellations which we plan on looking for this evening. Would you like to join us? We will provide snacks for you. If you look closely enough you may see animals or warriors. if you know when your Birthday is then this is how you find out what your sun sign is.

Suzzane was born on May 20th. This makes her Taurus the Bull which are kind, creative, and very determined which Suzzie was. David is a Leo as his Birthday is July 26th Leo the Lion and they are lively, loving, and lots of fun just like David. Do you know someone who is a Leo? Do they fit this description?

I’m a Scorpio because my Birthday is on November 4th. Scorpios are serious and great at keeping secrets. I can be serious and yes, I do try and keep secrets but sometime its hard. Do you know a Scorpio? Charlie is a Sagittarius because his Birthday is December 16th. Sagittariuis is a centaur which is a man and the body of a horse which Charlie and I didn’t know. How about you? They are funny and love exploring faraway places which is Charlie who wants to visit Paris one day.

Charlie and I can’t wait to talk to David’s mom and also my family and see which month everyone is born in and see if the descriptio matches that person. Giving us someone to celebrate each month of the year. Would you like to join us and help us find at least 12 people to celebrate although i bet we come up with a whole lot more. What do you think?

Charlie wanted me to let you know he liked the illustrations and can\t wait to make more of the drawings in our Homeschool Art Class this week. For our cooking class I think we will make cookies based on what we learned in WOO WOO Baby: Astrology. Would you like to make the Cookies with us?

Introduce your little one to the world of wonder with Woo Woo Baby, a series of mystical books for modern babies.

Look up into the night sky! Do you see all the twinkling, sparkling stars? Some of them make shapes called constellations. The one you were born under is your sun sign. The shapes look like powerful animals and fierce warriors.

This sweet exploration into the stars will introduce babies to the 12 astrological signs: Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. Each spread will highlight the animal/symbol of each sign and the personality traits each sign is known for.

Neil Clark is a music-loving, star-gazing illustrator and author. His rural upbringing in the Yorkshire Wolds fueled a playful imagination and a love of storytelling. This, combined with a degree in illustration and animation, led to a successful career in design.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
