Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween weekend!!

I am not sure about you all, but I am just about “Trick or Treated” out. We started on Thursday night with my sons “Monster Dance” at school. When we had Aiden, Bradl, y and Charlie. I am “Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween weekend!!” David and I did escape for a bit and came home where we grabbed a quick soda and went back to pick the boys up. We headed to CiCi’s Pizza, and we took Charlie and the boys Halloween Shopping because Charlie needed a costume and PJ’s.

For the most part, the boys were good at both CiCi’s and Walmart’s. But by the time we took both boys home David and I were exhausted as we had been running since 4 am. We came back and crashed, and Charlie played his game a while.

On Saturday David had to work, so Charlie and I ran up to the American Legion for a meeting. When we came home, and Charlie played his game station. Around 2:30 we went and got the bikes out and rode down to 7 Eleven. On the way back we stopped at the Car Wash to give Bertha ( my bike) a bath as well as Charlie’s bike.

We headed out to look for a Church that was hosting a Carnival and on the way home we picked up Aiden. We would have had some other kids going with us but they all flaked out. Which was fine with David and I as we had enough with just Charlie and Aiden.

On Saturday night we went to the Carnival then up to the American Legion for the Car Show and Trunk or Treat. Rhe boys had a lot of fun. We also had a surprise as my sister brought my nephew David and his wife Alyssa and there two children Lily and Jason up to Trick or Treat. Which was an awesome surprise?

My father in law, mother  in law and step-daughter Leslie all came up to the Car Show and walked around. David was able to introduce his parents to the members as we had just joined because both my dad and also Davids dad was in the Service. Along with my 2 Uncles.

My family was excited as a friend/ Vendor my up-line in Avon LouAnn Albright came and sat with me at the American Legion so I could rest my leg while the boys went out and looked at the cars and gathered more candy.

Once we left there and went to Sonic for 50 cent Corn Dogs and the boys played once they finished, we went to take Aiden home, and Charlie ended up staying to play a while. David had to run and get him around 10:30 last night because Charlie didn’t want to spend the night.

Charlie, his grandmother Granny Sherry and I are going to have dinner at Outback Steakhouse to take a break from Halloween and to check out their new menu. Be watching to see what we all thought of our meal.

Tomorrow night David is supposed to take Charlie and Aiden Trick or Treating through the neighborhood with his friend Ed. Which means Tammy, and I get to stay home. But I love seeing the kids in their costumes, so I am sure I will tag along.

Once tomorrow night is over I think I will pull a “Rip Van Winkle” and sleep for a week. No, not a hundred years just a week. As I haven’t walked this much in forever and my leg hurts!!!

Now my question for you is, did you go “Trick or Treating” or are you waiting for Monday? Do you take other children besides your own and how many places to take the children to and how long do you stay out?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
