Wine & Magic with magician Trigg Watson

The Mommies Reviews

Charlie, David and I were able to visit Checkered Past Winery Valentines Day weekend. When we watched Wine & Magic with magician Trigg Watson. I was excited to be able to bring Charlie and David back out to the show.

Wine & Magic with Trigg Watson

We had visited Checkered Past Winery in the past. We wanted to return because Charlie and David had stopped talking about Wine & Magic . Once we arrived and checked in Charlie and I walked around because we like looking at the Art in the Hallway.

David ordered a Craft Beer and being a man he forget to get the name of the Beer he ordered but David liked the Beer a lot and ordered a second Beer. Even though I had thought of having a glass of wine I purchased a Coke.

We were handed menus and since we had eaten before arriving they let us know they had a Dessert Menu which I asked for. Charlie and I thought about ordering there special dessert that evening.

Which were three different cakes but we opted for the Chocolate Cake. Which arrived with Whip Cream. Charlie and I thought the cake was so good and we had thought of ordering a second Dessert but we didn’t.

We were seated right on the front row which allowed us to see everything on stage and to watch the audience and see there reactions to what was happening.

Charlie and David liked seeing Wine & Magic a second time because they saw things they hadn’t seen the first time. This time David was a part of the show and Charlie was given a Root Beer which made his day.

I love knowing Trigg works on Cruise Ships because we have been talking about going on Vacation and we talked about taking a Cruise. I can’t wait to find out which Cruise Ships Trigg works on.

Charlie reminded me most magicians have beautiful helpers but he prefers Trigg helper Alexa because you can pack her up and take her with you anywhere.

Charlie also let me know he wouldn’t have to feed Alexa or pay her a salary. David reminded Alexa wouldn’t speak back to you or leave you. Also you can use Alexa for more than just the show.

As we were leaving Charlie and David let me know they would like to return and watch Wine & Magic again but this time they would like to bring my sister and my mother in law.

David and I are thinking of coming back one night for Dinner as a Date Night out. Or a Family Dinner because we saw a lot of food we would like to try.

I would like to return to Checkered Past Winery for other events they host. Or to celebrate David’s Birthday. As well as to check out all the other Businesses in the area and even spend the night in the Hotel right across the street. For a perfect Staycation.

HAPPY HOUR

The WINE PUB of Dallas

Checkered Past Winery is an urban wine pub featuring quality Texas wines (including our own), over 20 locally-brewed craft beers,  and some of the best wines from around the country and the world.  The menu consists of specialty bites with an Italian accent, that pair perfectly with wine or beer

Checkered Past Winery is located in the basement of the historic South Side on Lamar building, a 100-year-old Sears and Roebuck distribution center.

Co-founder, owner, and winemaker Sandro DiSanto is a first generation American and 100% Sicilian, carrying on his grandfathers’ winemaking tradition. What started as a hobby turned into an obsession, which connected Sandro and his brother-in-law, Scott Relyea, who co-founded and designed Checkered Past Winery . Carolynne Chancellor, grape grower/vineyard owner joined the two as co-owner to bring to you THE Urban Winery of Dallas. The owners of Checkered Past Winery believe in drinking local and supporting Texas family farmers, as well as their fellow Texas winemakers and brewers.

Checkered Past Winery has a casual, unpretentious atmosphere, a laid back attitude, and was founded on the principle of making wine approachable for everyone.  No wine snobs allowed!  In fact, the motto is, “Drink what you like”.
