Charlie hasn’t been able to spend as much time as he would like with his grandparents. Hearing Charlie tell me this I knew I needed to call Granny Sherry and have her make time for Charlie.
As I was getting ready to call I found this recipe for Wild Blueberry Lime Sorbet that I thought Charlie might like to make for his grandfather. Both Charlie and David Sr. love Blueberries.
I just hope David Sr. is home this weekend so he can have some of the Sorbet before everyone else eats it all up. Which would be fine because we could just make more.
Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
2 cups of blueberries; fresh or frozen
1 Lime
Directions:
Pour sugar, water and blueberries into a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
Allow to cool for about an hour.
Squeeze the juice from one lime into the mixture.
Pour the mixture into a blender.
Blend for one minute.
Pour the mixture into a freezer safe container and freeze for 6 to 8 hours, or until solid.
Scoop into dishes and enjoy!
