Homeschooling

The Mommies Reviews

David and I decided to begin Homeschooling Charlie in October 2016, and neither of us were sure what we were doing. Or how long we would be Homeschooling Charlie.

I didn’t know if Charlie would have to take classes in the Summer or if Charlie would be able to take the Summer off like Public School does. As we got started, I just Prayed and followed my heart.

Then the answer came to me. I knew I just had to would work with Charlie and see where it would lead us. So far it has to lead us to Homeschooling year round. My question for you is  ” do you Homeschool Year Round?”

The more we worked, the more I could see what Charlie didn’t know which led us to Homeschooling even in the Summer. But not, as much as we needed to as life just kept getting in the way.

Now I know I should have been more structured and had Charlie do something everyday. Especially reading as this is where he struggles at the most. Or at least this is what I would tell myself. Or “oh well” there is tomorrow and tomorrow didn’t come.

I ‘mglad I decided to take the courses from the 2016 Digital Homeschool Convention. There was a class called                            “How to Make Year-Round Homeschooling Work for You.”

The beautiful part about it is I had almost forgotten about the 2016 Digital Homeschool Conference when Thaleia Maher sent me a message reminding me about I should go. Then she also let me know there was a  class that was perfect for my family. Thaleia was correct David and I learned so much.

I would like to share the 2016 Digital Homeschool Conference with you. The conference is free, and were on Day 4, and it’s a 5 Day Conference. Hurry over and check out the conference before it ends. If you do not take any other classes make sure you take this one.

  1. Homeschooling year around has allowed us to slow down and enjoy more the journey. We take breaks throughout the year when we feel necessary or when we have family visiting. My aim is to have always an unhurried homeschool, joyful and stress free. 🙂
