What Is the Electric Car? A Timely book reveals the “Electric Future” which has now arrived!
A timely book answers the many questions millions have about electric cars and the many new 2022 “Plug-In” Hybrids starting to arrive in showrooms. “What Is the Electric Car? 79 REASONS to Drive Electric” (released by Nemours Publishing) is a spin-off from the award-winning film “What is the Electric Car?” (distributed by Celebrity Home Entertainment). The book was written by Scott duPont (who also produced and hosted the film) along with Ginny Scales-Medeiros and an Introduction by Actor – Environmentalist Ed Begley, Jr. and an epilogue by MLB All-Star Jeremy Guthrie. The list of contributing authors reads like the “Who’s-Who” in the world of International Associations & Organizations, Electric Vehicle experts, Professional athletes, and Hollywood celebrities. The book covers every conceivable reason why drivers will want to consider electric for their next vehicle purchase. Nicolas Zart from CarNewsCafe.com remarks: “For the 15 million people buying a new car in the U.S. next year, this book is a MUST READ!” While the film impacted thousands of people to buy or lease electric cars, this au courant book is most fascinating to school age children and teenagers who will most likely will be driving or ride-sharing in an all-electric car. Co-authors duPont and Scales-Medeiros witnessed the excitement first hand from their book tour to almost 100 school and libraries where kids lined up to watch the film or hear the two electric car experts talk about the new electric cars. Almost a dozen of the schools visited had an electric car “conversion” project where science students took donated fossil fueled cars and converted them to all-electric. Many high school kids persuaded their parents to switch to all-electric after sharing all of their knowledge gained from the movie, the book and the tour events.
The documentary received a Dove Foundation Award and the coveted Dove “Family Approved” Seal of Approval receiving five (5) out of five (5) Doves. The film also won the prestigious Omni Excellence Award® for Educational Achievement. The spin-off book features chapters (with stories and witty anecdotes) from contributing authors including: Jay Leno, Larry Hagman, Fabio, Alexandra Paul, Leilani Münter, Nancy Cartwright, Michael Brune and others. Included is insightful information from manufacturers, vendors, drivers & pioneers in the electric car industry predicted to explode over the next 12 months as new electric car models are being released from every car manufacturer around the world. Readers of all ages will likely consider these new EVs (which plug into a 110v outlet & don’t use a drop of gasoline or oil), before purchasing their next car. Warren Buffet predicted 15 years ago that: “All cars will be electric in 20 years”.
After meeting with former President Obama (who encouraged electric car technologies in the U.S.), Executive Producer of the film and renowned Artist Romero Britto (www.Britto.com) painted the world’s 1st BRITTOTM electric car (a Tango Commuter Car) which toured the country promoting the film & book, and Chábeli Iglesias signed on to host the film’s Spanish language version of the film which will be available for Latin American and Spanish markets in the future. The book (a perfect Eco-Friendly gift) for students of all ages is now available at Barnes & Noble, Borders, Amazon, Kindle, etc. while the original film “What is the Electric Car?” is now streaming at VOLTY TV. The next project Scott duPont and Ginny Scales Medeiros are collaborating on is a new movie called “WIN” based upon the novel “What is Normal?” (inspired by a true story) where the lead works at an electric car company and tries to change the world to the benefit of future generations.
