I would like to share a new Christmas Gift Guide Sponsor 2022: What Does Your Daddy Do? written by Joshua Page. I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review and a spot inside this years Christmas Gift Guide. For more information about What Does Your Daddy Do check out the Press Release here.
I know a lot of people believe our children should go to College but I’ve always believed if we have the abilities we should teach our children how to start there own business. Then they will not have to worry about being laid off or fired.
As you can see in What Does Your Daddy Do? the dad went to a trade school which allowed me to talk to Charlie about them and the different trade schools out there besides plumbing as my dad went to a Computer Trade School and my brother went to a Trade School to learn how to work on Small Engines.
While I taught myself how to operate a computer and run a blog but I wish I had gone to a trade school because I would be better at what I do that I do know. All the kids were excited to learn about a electrician.
If the book had continued the girl would have found out what her father a plumber does who also may have gone to a trade school. Did you know teachers have to go to College? As we read through the book Charlie and I went over the tools we saw in the book and what they would be used for.
We found words Charlie wasn’t familiar with which we used in our Spelling Class for Vocabulary. To further our lessons from the book I am going to have Charlie interview a plumber and a electrician to see what types of schools they went to. As well as contact 3 trade schools to see what classes they offer and what those jobs are comprised.
If you have a child who is interested in different jobs then you will want to share What Does Your Daddy Do? with them. I believe this book is for children of all ages but adults would also enjoy the storyline and the illustrations which will keep you captivated throughout the the entire story.
About Joshua Page
Joshua Page is a husband, father, entrepreneur and most importantly he is passionate about getting kids involved with the trades.
He has been featured on many podcasts, a TEDx speaker, and a motivational public speaker.
During the Pandemic he wanted a way to influence the younger mind about the trades and let them know how cool the trades are.
College isn’t for everyone and it shouldn’t be the only option. Some kids are not destined for college but would make a great tradesperson.
When not busy running his electrical companies and inspiring others he loves to spend time with his family and making as many memories and stories to tell as he can.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
