I was “BLESSED” when they let me choose which Puzzle I would like to have. I picked out Feliz Navi-dog because were Dog lovers in our home. The red truck is featured in my home in different colors in memory of my Dad.
I knew when we finished the wooden puzzle I would be able to turn it into a picture to display year round. David and I’ve always enjoyed putting Puzzles together but I wasn’t sure he would help me. Or even if Charlie would even though Puzzles would allow us to spend one on one time together.
Charlie’s counselor he used to go to said puzzles and board games would help Charlie with focusing which is why I was excited for Feliz Navi-dog to arrive. The other night instead of keeping the puzzle to do on Christmas Eve I opened the box and began to sort the pieces.
Charlie walked up to see what I was doing and said I will be back in a minute. Which I didn’t think Charlie would do. David came and sat down next to me and began turning the pieces of the puzzle over. Before I knew what was happening David started helping me put it together.
Charlie came back downstairs and moved the box to a different spot. Then he sat down and began to work on the puzzle. I slowly got up and moved away from the table leaving Charlie and David to work together.
Charlie and David spent two hours on the puzzle without moving. There was no fussing or arguing which was a Godsend in my home. David went to bed and while he was at work Charlie added a piece here or there throughout the day.
Yesterday my sister Debbie brought my nephew Jason and Lily over. They were excited to see the Puzzle. I let them know to leave it alone because David wanted to finish it when he got home. David walked in after work and went work on Feliz Navi-dog.
Jason finished playing Monopoly with Charlie and went to stand by his Uncle David. David asked Jason if he wanted to help with the Puzzle. Jason said yes, he pulled a chair up and for a hour I didn’t hear a word out of them. Charlie even went back in and worked on the puzzle.
Having the men in the kitchen allowed me to spend one on one time with Debbie. I showed her the website for the Puzzle as she said he wanted to get Jason and Lily a couple for Christmas. I told her they were wooden puzzles and come in a bag to store the pieces in.
Jason was so excited when he found a piece that looked like a Bike and Charlie loved the Dog shaped pieces. David muttered because if your not careful the pieces will come apart and some look like they fit but they don’t because of the way there cut keeping you on your toes.
I didn’t work on the puzzle as much as I would have liked to as the pieces are small and the colors were running together because I need glasses. Which when I get them I plan on purchasing more of the puzzles which we will be using in our Homeschool Classes.
