Well we survived the first couple weeks of school even though there where times when I wondered if we would. And the main problem we had was the math worksheet Charlies teacher sent home. And I had never seen this type of math worksheet and didn’t know how to do the worksheet. So I even got online and googled this type of math and looked it up on YouTube.com and Google and couldn’t find a way to do it.
But each morning Charlies teacher goes over the worksheet from the night before with her students. So even if Charlie did get the worksheet wrong he has a chance to correct it before it is turned in. And I am so grateful for that as I know we might be doing it wrong.
And as for the rest of his homework Charlie was able to get it all ready to turn in today. As he missed Friday as we had eaten at Taco Casa and ended up sick. And on top of that our car broke down Thursday evening so I ended up keeping Charlie home on Friday.
Then yesterday was Labor Day so school wasn’t in session then. So Charlie was able to rest some more. And was ready to go to school this morning and even went with me on a walk before I dropped him off at school. So I just hope Charlie remembers to turn in all his homework.
And that he listens this week and does his work as once last week he ended up with a note saying he needed to work harder. And one day Charlie said his teacher said he was talking, and he says he wasn’t but we all know how children can be.
So I pray this is a fantastic week for Charlie and also his teachers and the staff in his school. And I pray everyone had a wonderful labor Day yesterday. And if you are homeschooling did you teach your children about Labor Day? And if so what did you use. As I want to go over Labor Day with Charlie this afternoon.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
