Bones Academy

Charlie has finally name his school and it is called Bones Academy. We did remove Charlie from Major Cheney Elementary on Tuesday morning after visiting the new counselor we took Charlie to visit.

I had mentioned in the past that I could Homeschool Charlie and that I wouldn’t mind doing it. But I wasn’t physically or mentally ready. But God was.

But because I had a feeling this was coming the past couple weeks I had been talking to Elle Emme about adding a Homeschooling site to the Blog. This way I could share resources with other moms.

Then the supplies/ resources that would help with Homeschooling started accepting my pitches. I began to get articles that would help out as well. I knew we was doing the right thing for my family.

Once I got home from removing Charlie from school I posted a Tweet to another Homeschool mom not knowing if she would even answer or respond.

Then I went to Facebook to check on something, and this lady had answered my message and not only that several other moms did as well. They all left comments with websites I should check out. Once again I was overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers.

I looked at the sites they sent, and I was able to put enough lessons for Charlie to begin his first week of school at Bones Academy. This may not be what we stay with or later on we may get Charlie a Curriculum but this has been a starter, and has helped me out a lot.

I would like to say Thank you to these ladies that have helped us get Charlie started in school. As well as Elle Emme from LM Solutions because without her unending support I wouldn’t have had the nerve even to begin.

I stood behind David as he told his parents and they are standing beside us in our decision when we said we where removing Charlie from Major Cheney Elementary and Homeschooling Charlie for a little bit. They offered to get us anything we might need.

Bones Academy will officially open on Monday morning. No, I am not 100% ready and I may never be 100% available, but I know there are people out there that will help me and does not mind helping me.

There are stores like Teachers Tools and Mardels I can visit which carry Homeschooling resources and will also help me pick out the things we need to make this school year a success.

Or I can check out Amazon and purchase the Life of Fred Books for Math for Charlie. While on Amazon you can find free books your children can read and free coloring books they can use for Art class.

You can see Homeschool doesn’t have to be expensive and you can use tools you have in your home. Or from your local Dollar Store like Greenbacks which I will be visiting today to pick Crafts Charlie and I can put together and they have workbooks and school supplies we can use.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
