Unique Holidays: October 21st, 2022

The Mommies Reviews

Welcome to our feature sharing Unique Holidays: October 21st, 2022. Would you take a look at the holidays being celebrated today and let me know which holiday you most want to celebrate and why. As for me I’m going to hide in a book for a bit to get rid of the babbling Charlie is doing.

Babbling Day– always observed on October 21st

Mark this day on your calendar. because it is Babbling Day. We’ve all had the joy of listening to people who ramble on, saying a lot of words without much sense of reasoning. Blabbing Day isn’t a day to remain silent. Tell everyone you know about Blabbing Day. How many words will it take you to tell them?

Blatherskite Definition: A “Blatherskite ” is a person who babbles and it’s a person who talks a lot without making much sense.

What’s all the chatter about over Babbling Day? On Babbling Day, we celebrate those of us with a glib tongue. You know those people when you hear them. They’re talking gibberish and they never stop talking, and babble on and on. They can turn a simple one-sentence statement into an endless dissertation. Did you ever hear a blatherskite answer a yes or no question with just one word?

Spend Babbling Day babbling like a baby if you must. If I had the opportunity I would spend today by a babbling brook.

How to Celebrate Babbling Day

  • Babble in your speech today.
  • Sop your babbling.
  • Look for blatherskites and point out their ramblings.
  • Listen to a politician.
  • Listen to a baby talk.

History and Origin of Babbling Day

We did not find the creator of Blabbing Day or any reasons why Blabbing Day was created. Apparently, the creator was not a blatherskite. He or she did not say a single word about this holiday’s creation.

The Ecard companies and calendar sites online have all referenced Blabbing Day. We did not find the originator or any factual information about Blabbing Day. Apparently, the creator wasn’t a Blatherskite.

We also found an occasional reference to this as a “National” holiday. Can you imagine our illustrious political leader debating and babbling endlessly about making this a National Holiday!?

Count Your Buttons Day– is always observed on October 21

Count Your Buttons Day is todayy. Aren’t you excited!? The very first question you must be asking is “Why!?” Well, we don’t know why and, it might be better that we don’t know.

Here it is, staring you in the face. A wild and wacky holiday with absolutely no history to define its purpose for being. One might suggest that the creator of this wacky day, was himself a bit wacky.

If it’s a rainy day, there might be nothing better to do than count your buttons. After all, didn’t you really want to know how many buttons you own? Amazingly, you’ve gone this far in life without knowing the answer to this important question.

We did not find the creator, or the origin, of Count Your Buttons Day. Most likely, it was created by someone with a whole lot of free time on his hands. Boredom can cause us to do strange things.

International Nacho Day– is always October 21st, National Nacho Day is always November 6th

Nachos are popular both with a meal and as a snack. Nachos are in popular demand for parties of all kinds. We enjoy Nachos while watching any sporting event, at home, at the stadium, or in the arena. Nachos are so popular, that there are two holidays close together to celebrate and enjoy this versatile and crunchy treat. I don’t know about you, but this is fine with me. I’m gonna celebrate both International Nacho Day and National Nacho Day holidays as they arrive, with Nachos.

Eating Mexican or Tex-Mex tonight? Have it your way. A pile of Nachos is all but certain to be included with the meal. As a snack, Nachos are great eaten plain by themselves. However, Salsa and Cheese Dips are sure to be surrounding the snack bowl. Reigning supreme in the world of Nachos is the Nacho Supreme. Home recipes abound. They all begin with a deep pile of Chips covered with Cheese, on a large serving platter. Jalapenos are also certain to be a key ingredient. Other potential ingredients include Chicken, Beef, Salsa, Black Bean, Onions, and Black Olives. Don’t forget to serve Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Guacamole on the side.

We may not know anything about who created either International or National Nacho Day, why it was created, or exactly when these Holidays werefirst celebrated. But, its creation is well documented. The inventor is Mexican Agnacio “Nacho” Anaya in 1943.

Anaya lived and worked in the Mexican border town of Piedra Negras. After a long day of shopping, several U.S. Army wives entered the restaurant looking for something to eat. The kitchen staff had left, so Anaya went into the kitchen and went to work creating a snack for them. Anaya cut Tortillas into triangles, placed Cheese and Jalapenos on top, then put them into the oven to melt the Cheese. When Anaya removed the dish from the oven, Nachos was born.

How to Celebrate Nacho Day

  • Reach for the bag of Nachos and enjoy. Don’t forget Cheese!
  • Make Nachos Supreme.

History and Origin of Nacho Day

Nachos are very popular. When we began our research into these holidays, we thought we’d find a huge amount of information about the creator, why the holidays was created, and when it was created. We were astonished to find virtually no historical information as to its origin. Our research suggests that PartyExcuses.com created National Nacho Day. It does appear that both of these holidays were created in the early 2000s. International Nacho Day arrived on the scene just a little before National Nacho Day.

There is no information or documentation confirming this to be a  true “National” holiday and we found no congressional records or presidential proclamation.

National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day – always observed on October 21st

National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day, celebrates a delicious Fall dessert. In October, Pumpkins are literally glowing. Why not put two of your favorites together. Pumpkins and Cheesecake! which make a great dessert. They are both nutritious and healthy.

Food holidays are always fun holidays. At this time of the year, Pumpkins are found in hundreds of recipes. Everyone is baking Pumpkin treats. Looking for a Pumpkin recipe or two? See the largest pumpkin recipe collection at Pumpkin Nook.

How to Celebrate National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day

Go to a Cheesecake store or Bakery and purchase Pumpkin Cheesecake.

Or better yet, make a Homemade Pumpkin Cheesecake.

History and Origin of National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day

Our research did not find the creator or the origin of this holiday but we discovered lots of references to this day on Ecard sites and calendar sites. But, we found no factual information about the holiday.

Almost all food-related holidays and special days are referred to as “National”. I guess we Americans like our food.

We did not find any documentation confirming this to be a “National” holiday and we found no congressional records or presidential proclamation.
