Good morning, welcome to our series sharing Unique Holidays: October 21st. It’s National Vegetarian Month and before you ask me no, we are not Vegetarian’s and I can honestly say I don’t think I even know a Vegetarian. Do you or are you one?
National Vegetarian Month
Vegetarians around the World are celebrating because October 1st is World Vegetarian Day, which kicks off Vegetarian Awareness Month. Then did you know World Vegan Day rounds out the month on the first of November? Are you celebrating either Holiday because my family isn’t although being a Vegetarian would be healthier for all of us.
Vegetarian Awareness Month was established by the North American Vegetarian Society in 1977 and I would like to remind you that you can make a difference in October by letting your friends and family about the benefits of Vegetarianism. Encourage them to try out a Vegetarian diet, which can have healthy advantages.
Did you know Vegetarians typically do not eat Meat, Poultry, Fish, or the flesh of any Animal. Vegetarianism can also extend to abstaining from various Animal by-products.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
