The Mommies Reviews

Good morning, I would like to invite you to celebrate Unique Holidays: October 15th, 2021. Being Bosses Day today I think I will purchase a Cake and celebrate myself because as we all know I am my one boss. Would you like to join me in the celebration?

Bosses Day – Weekday closest to October 16

Bosses Day is always on the weekday closest to October 16

A day that gives you a chance to both tell and show your boss what you really think of him or her. Bosses Day is an opportunity to give your boss appreciation that he or she truly deserves. Go right ahead and give it to him…..give it to him good! After all, Bosses Day only comes around once a year.

What Makes a Good Boss?

Here are attributes people say make the best boss:

  • Fair
  • Honest
  • Understanding
  • Approachable
  • A good communicator

History:

The origin of Bosses Day dates back to 1958 when Patricia Bays Haroski, an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Illinois, registered Bosses Day with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Haroski chose the date because it was her father’s birthday. Who was her boss?

 White Cane Safety Day

White Cane Safety Day celebrates and recognizes the achievements of the blind, or the visually impaired, and their independence. There independence is represented by the white cane that they use to travel from place to place.

The white cane is an invaluable tool for the blind which affords blind people a freedom of movement they otherwise may not have. The white cane is a well recognized symbol of independence.

If you know someone who is blind or visually impaired, celebrate this day with them and we suggest you let them take you for a walk.

History and Origin of White Cane Safety Day:

On October 15, 1964, a joint resolution of Congress passed legislation marking this Holiday. President Lyndon Johnson immediately issued a proclamation declaring this day to be White Cane Safety Day. Which Cane Safety Day is an annual proclamation.
