All Soul’s Day– November 2nd (November 3rd if the 2nd falls on a Sunday)
The Christian holiday of All Soul’s Day pays respect and remembers the Souls of all friends and loved ones who have died and gone to heaven. All Soul’s Day is a time to Pray for their Souls that they may be received into Heaven. Upon death, it is believed that Souls have not yet been cleansed of sin. Praying for Souls of loved ones helps to remove the stain of sin, allowing the Souls to enter the pearly gates of Heaven. Did you know All Souls Day was started in 998.
Often people will pray to their lost loved ones and ask for things.
All Souls Day is sometimes called the “Day of the Dead”.
Deviled Egg Day– always celebrated on November 2nd
National Deviled Eggs Day is today, making this a Devil of a day. Like any other food holiday, National Deviled Eggs Day is a culinary delight. No one knows where or how National Deviled Eggs Day got its Devilish name.
The whole purpose of National Deviled Eggs Day is to make and eat Deviled Eggs. Deviled Eggs are hors d’oeuvres typically served at parties and get-togethers. However, you can make Deviled Eggs as an appetizer or just as a snack. Deviled Eggs are popular for holiday snack trays and during Summer picnics. You can use your favorite recipe, or hopefully, find a restaurant serving Deviled Eggs in recognition of National Deviled Eggs Day.
How to Celebrate National Deviled Eggs Day
- Make Deviled eEggs for hors d’oeuvres or just as a snack.
- All you Devils must go forth and consume Deviled Eggs on National Deviled Eggs Day.
History and Origin of National Deviled Eggs Day
The originator of National Deviled Eggs Day was quite devious. The little Devil failed to provide any documentation on National Deviled Eggs Day or to take credit for National Deviled Eggs Day.
We did not find any documentation confirming this to be a “National” Holiday and we found no congressional records or presidential proclamation.
Look for Circles Day– always observed on November 2nd
Look For Circles Day is today, and you should go forth, in search of circles. We suspect you will find circles everywhere. Looking for circles is a lot like Swimming in a round pool. You go round and round. There’s a lot of splashing. You don’t get anywhere.
Circles are an amazing shape and there is no beginning and no end. Circles can encircle and protect things. Circles can draw you in. Circles are used to describe the end of a process or the complete process.
Did you find lots of circles? We knew you would. We hope that your search has made you very happy.
Share these Circle Quotes and Sayings with your family:
- It came full circle.
- The circle of life.
- Circle around the wagons.
- Family circle.
- Everything comes full circle.
- What comes around, goes around.
How to Celebrate Look for Circles Day
- Look for circles and keep account of how many circles you find.
- Have a contest with your family to see who can find the most circles.
History and Origin of Look for Circles Day
We ran around in circles, looking for the creator of Look for Circles Day and there were a lot of circles along the way, But, we winded up right where we started wondering who created Look for Circles Day!?
Plan Your Epitaph Day is April 6th or November 2nd
Plan Your Epitaph Day is a day is a little bit morbid for my liking. My first thought was who would create Plan Your Epitaph Day and, why? I don’t want to think about it, let alone plan it.
When you stop to think about it, maybe it’s best if you do plan your epitaph because you never know what a relative or friend may put on your tombstone once you’re gone. Or, worse still, what if they “don’t” say anything?
While we’re young, we think this is a long ways away. As we age, and get wiser, more of us consider getting directly involved with our epitaph, as well as all of the details of our demise.
If you need a little nudge to plan your epitaph, let today be the day.
History and Origin of “Plan Your Epitaph Day”:
We believe Lance Hardie is the creator of Plan Your Epitaph Day and rhe author of How to Write Your Own Epitaph — and Live Long Enough to Enjoy It
National Epitaph Day was established November 2d coincide with the Day of the Dead.
There is also a lot of reference to National Epitaph Day being celebrated on April 6th. However, we found no explanation for this date.
Thank you,
