Welcome to our series sharing Unique Holidays: June 26th, 2022. I would like to ask you to take a look at the holidays being celebrated today and let me know which holiday you most want to celebrate and why. As for me if I had a way I would be celebrating Beautician’s Day because I sure need my hair and colored. Would you like to go?
Beautician’s Day is your chance to show your appreciation to those who make you look beautiful and stunning.
Before you ask I would like to let you know beauticians include our hair stylist, as well as manicurists. Beauticians talents and training transforms the everyday you into the beautiful woman you always knew was inside of you. Beauticians helps us glow, and feel great about ourself. Guys appreciate our Beautician, too and proof positive is when men turn to watch as you go by.
It’s fair and fitting that you show your appreciation to your Beautician today but, we also found some reference to suggest that Beauticians consider this a holiday for them to show their appreciation to their patrons. Which is a novel and admirable concept.
Forgiveness Day June 26th.
Global Forgiveness Day is held on August 27th.
International Forgiveness Day is observed the first Sunday of August.
Forgiveness Day is a time to forgive and to be forgiven and the world will be a better place for this holiday.

In religions:
** The Jewish celebration of Yom Kippur is a day of atonement or forgiving.
** In Christian religions, the first Sunday before Lent is called “Forgiveness Sunday”.
National Canoe Day is today and Summer has arrived, which is a perfect time for a canoe ride. All you need to do is take a canoe out on your favorite waterway, and enjoy the peace and serenity. Allowing us to get a little healthy exercise along the way.
Canoes have been around for thousands of years, and Canoes have been used by countless cultures. It is believed the first canoes were made and used by the Carib Indians of the Caribbean. The Indians carved out logs, and used the canoes to travel between islands. Did you know the word canoe originates from the word “kenu” in their native language. .
Celebrating this holiday is a real pleasure. Go out in a canoe onto a lake or stream and take a leisurely ride, and enjoy the scenery. Don’t rush take your time and you’ll return calm and relaxed.
Make sure to wear an approved life jacket while out on the water.
The History and Origin of National Canoe Day:
All of our research points to 2007 as the year this holiday was first celebrated. But oddly, our research did not find the creator of this holiday. Because he or she is probably out on a lake in a canoe, enjoying the holiday way too much to come in and document this holiday.
We did not find any documentation confirming this to be a “National” holiday and we found no congressional records or presidential proclamation. This holiday is celebrated in the U.S., Canada and a handful of other Countries. One would wonder why this isn’t called a “World” or “International” Holiday.
Tippy Canoe and Tyler Too was a popular 1840 presidential campaign song, originally called “Tip and Ty”, for Whig party candidate William Henry Harrison.
