Welcome to our series sharing Unique Holidays: June 14th, 2022. Today is Monkey Around Day and I don’t know about you but my knee is acting up today so I believe I will sit this holiday out. Which means Charlie may as well even though Charlie should find something to do besides hanging out in his room on his game system.
Today is a day to “Go Ape!”
If you haven’t already you should put aside your troubles and worries. Throw off the shackles of stress on every day living. Lock up your inhibitions in a safe, or a drawer. Today, is hereby declared Monkey Around Day!
We all need a day and probably more than one or two days to just Monkey around, doing anything that comes to mind which can be silly or it can be inane. Or, wild, crazy whimsy, and something we’ve always wanted to do, but sensibility held you back. In other words, go out and have untamed fun! Tomorrow, you will be glad that you did.
You can celebrate this holiday, with just about any kind of Monkey business. Including:
- Monkey around. – – I bet you can think of a number of ways to accomplish this with and without family.
- Act like a Monkey and invite people to join you.
- Grab a Banana in one hand, scratch your armpit with the other, and make monkey noises.
- Visit Monkeys at the Zoo.
- Draw pictures of Monkeys and before you say I can’t draw you don’t have to be a Artist just have fun
- Purchase Monkey stuffed Animals, and other Monkey clothes and games or books.
What ever you do, Money Around Day is not a time to be shy, sensible, or logical.
