Welcome to our series sharing unique Holidays: July 2nd, 2022. Would you take a look at the holidays and let me know which holiday you most want to celebrate and why. Charlie said we should celebrate I Forgot Day because we got busy and forgot to cook dinner. What did you forget to do today?
I Forgot Day, by definition, today is not a day to remember. What are you forgetting? Can you even remember? Is it important? I hope not.
Some days are days to remember and to cherish all of our lives. Others, like today, are days to be forgotten. If you are having a bad day, it’s just as well that today is I Forgot Day. We do hope that you are not getting married or having a baby today.
Some people view today as an opportunity to express their regrets for forgetting something, and to make amends. By sending cards and flowers, apologizing for their memory lapse. The trouble is, if you forget something important tomorrow, you have to wait a whole year for the next I Forgot Day to arrive.
The Origin of I Forgot Day:
It took us a long time to find any information about the origin and originator of this holiday. We thought perhaps the creator forgot to record the creation.
Finally, Amy Miller wrote us and told us that her mom, Gaye Andersen of DeMotte, IN. created this holiday.
If this holiday seems Alien to you, we certainly understand it is a holiday that comes to us, literally from out of this world.
World UFO Day seeks to get governments to fess up to the existence of UFOs. Many people believe that UFOs from Outer Space have already visited us, and a big, government cover-up is hiding the facts from the public.
The date for this holiday was chosen because it is the date of the Roswell Incident, a historical event leading to wide speculation and belief that Aliens have indeed visited us. In 1947, an object crashed at a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. The official explanation, is it was a military crash. But to this day, millions of people believe it was actually an Alien Spacecraft. Alien remains from that crash are believed by many, to be secretly held in Area 51 inside a secret Air Force facility in Nevada.
Organizers are downright serious about getting the overall public to believe that we indeed have been visited by Aliens from Outer Space and they are seeking to get the U.S. and other governments to admit to what they believe is a reality.
