I Forgot Day, by definition, today is not a day to remember. Just what are you forgetting? Can you even remember? Is it important? Hopefully, not.
There is some days to remember and to cherish all of our lives. Others, like today, are ones to be forgotten. If your having a bad day, it’s just as well that today is I Forgot Day. We do hope that your not getting married or having a baby today.
Some people view today as an opportunity to express their regrets for forgetting something, and to make amends. They do so by sending cards and flowers, or for apologizing for their memory lapse.
The trouble is, if you forget something important then tomorrow, you have to wait a whole year for the next I Forgot Day to arrive. I Forgot Day is closely related to I’m Sorry Day.
The Origin of I Forgot Day:
It took us a long time to find any information about the origin and originator of The Origin of I Forgot Day. We thought perhaps the creator forgot to record his (or her) creation.
Finally, Amy Miller wrote us and told us that her mom, Gaye Andersen of DeMotte, IN. created this day. I would like to know why she created it wouldn’t you?
If World UFO Day seems alien to you, we understand. Its a special Holiday that comes to us, literally from out of this world.
World UFO Day seeks to get governments to fess up to the existence of UFOs. Many people believe that UFOs from outer space have already visited us, and a big, government cover-up is hiding the facts from the public.
The date for this special day was chosen because it is the date of the Roswell Incident, a historical event leading to wide speculation and belief that Aliens have indeed visited us.
In 1947, an object crashed at a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. This official explanation, is it was a Military Crash. To this day, millions of people believe it was actually an Alien Spacecraft.
Alien remains from that crash are believed by many, to be secretly held in Area 51 inside a secret Air Force facility in Nevada. Would you like to visit there because I wouldn’t.
Organizers are downright serious about getting the overall public to believe that we indeed have been visited by Aliens from Outer Space. They are seeking to get the U.S. and other governments to admit to what they believe is a reality.
Have we been visited by extra-terrestrial beings? You make the call.
The “Roswell Incident”:
July 2, 1947 is a date well known to UFO believers (Isn’t everyone!?). On this date, Mac Brazel, a rancher in northwest of Roswell, New Mexico discovered wreckage of a metallic object on his ranch.
The wreckage and the metal it was made of was strange. He contacted Military authorities who investigated the site, and removed the wreckage. The first military reports referenced a mysterious, Unidentified Flying Object.
These reports were later rescinded, leading to wide speculation and claims of a massive government cover-up of the discovery of UFOs from Outer space. It also sparked fear of a UFO invasion and rumors of other incidents. That speculation is alive and well today.
