Welcome back to our series sharing Unique Holidays: July 25th, 2021. Take a look at the Holidays being celebrated today and let me know which one you most would like to celebrate and why.
Let’s eat!
Today is Culinarians Day which is a special day for anyone who cooks, and an exciting one for all of us who get to enjoy the Fruits of their labor. That means just about everyone of us get to celebrate this day. You don’t have to be a Chef, or a graduate of a Culinary Institute to celebrate this delicious day. You simply have to cook, and to enjoy the results.
There’s National concern over growing Obesity in America. Recognizing this fact, one would think that this is a huge Holiday. However, we found this to be one of the least known Holidays in the Country….. up to now. Not anymore! We have documented it so all can enjoy Culinarians Day this year, and in future years.
Now get into your kitchen and celebrate Culinarians Day. Cook up a storm. BTW: What time should my family arrive to eat!?
The History and Origin of Culinarians Day:
Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day and we found no factual documentation on this Holiday, and only sparse awareness of its existence.
Yes, you can have your Hot Dog and Chili… and eat it, too….. together, because today is National Chili Dog Day. We don’t know who first came up with the idea to put Hot Dogs and Chili together. But, I’m glad they did, because they make a great combination.
Hot dogs are really a Sausage of German origin which has evolved over many decades. There are many types of Hot Dogs, including: Ballpark, Pop-open, Skinless and “White” Hots. White Hots are very popular in the Northeast, but little known in many other parts of the country.
Chili is very popular in colder months of the year but the big exception is when Chili is used as a condiment ,or topper, on Hot Dogs in a bun. Then the Chili Dog is popular in the Summer months.
If you’ve never tried the delicious Summer Sausage Sandwich, then National Chili Dog Day is the perfect day to give Chili Dogs a try. We believe you won’t be disappointed!
Chili Con Carne first appeared on restaurant menus in the 1880’s.
Happy National Chili Dog Day!!!

Parent’s Day – fourth Sunday in July
National Parents Day is a special day to honor your mother and father. A time to celebrate the family structure and family values. The family unit is an important structure for the health of children, and the Nation. That structure, and those values, are established and nurtured by your parents.
Today is not a day of gift giving. That’s for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. The best way to mark this day is by spending time with your parents doing something fun. Its also important that you let them how much they are loved and appreciated.
Okay, kids everywhere……. its National Parents Day. Go out and honor mom and dad!
History and Origin of National Parents Day:
Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day but most likely, this sweet day was created by Chocolate confectioners.
In 1994, President William (Bill) Clinton proclaimed the fourth Sunday in July as National Parents Day.
Today is Thread the Needle Day. and you can be certain that today is going to be a great day…….. if your Sew.
Thread the Needle Day certainly is a day for those who Sew and it also has a second meaning. The term “thread the needle”, is a saying. It means to either walk a fine and difficult line between two things or issues, or to do something difficult.
For example, suppose two of your friends are on opposite sides of an issue. You may have to “thread the needle” on that issue, as you attempt to retain both of them as your friend.
The creator of Thread the Needle Day did not document this day so, until we find him or her, you can celebrate today by either Sewing or Threading the Needle on issues.
Thank you,
