Welcome to our series celebrating Unique Holidays: December 20th, 2022. Did you know today is Go Caroling Day. I don’t know about you but I’ve never been caroling but I think it would be fun to go. Would you like to go with Charlie and I? We wouldn’t even have to leave my Apartment Complex we could go caroling here.
Go Caroling Day– always observed on December 20th
Go Caroling Day is a rewarding, and memory-filled tradition. This holiday is sometimes called “Christmas Caroling Day”. By far Go Caroling Day was more popular decades ag. Christmas holiday caroling remains a great opportunity to enjoy the holiday and appreciate its meaning, by going out in a group to sing Christmas carols. The date is perfect, coming just before Christmas when your shopping and preparations should almost be done.
Christmas caroling remains popular in many areas and among many groups. Scouts, Church, and Youth Groups often partake in Caroling. Even family parties and business parties sometimes produce an impromptu caroling sing-a-long.
If you need the song lyrics for your favorite Christmas songs just search online and you will find every song you would want to sing as well as Holiday songs you hadn’t thought of.
It may take a little planning to make Go Caroling Day happen. For example, Scout Groups frequently go caroling in Nursing Homes or Retirement Centers. A phone call to the facility management to arrange a date and time is a must. Transportation to and from the facility also must be arranged. Afterward, the perfect caroling event should end with Hot Chocolate and Cookies.
