Many major cities have a culinary dish they are known for. Chicago, Illinois is famous world-wide, Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza. Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza are so great, that Chicago couldn’t keep the recipe a secret. Nowadays, you can purchase a Deep Dish Pizza almost anywhere in the U.S., and many parts of the world. Many people say Chicago makes the best Pizzas in the world. It only stands to reason, that the best Deep Dish Pizza is only made in Chicago.
Today, people all over the World celebrate Deep Dish Pizza Day and we have no doubt about what you will do today, to enjoy this Holiday.
The Deep-Dish Pizza was created in 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. The Deep-Dish Pizza was created by Ike Sewell, founder of Pizzeria Uno. The Deep-Dish Pizza recipe calls for a deep, buttery, and crunchy crust. If you follow the original recipe, and we hope you do, Cheese is on top of the Dough. The Sauce is on top of the Cheese, and you can add any other toppings, you prefer.
The first Pizza was made in the Country of Greece not Italy.
Celebrate this Holiday today with a Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza, with any of your favorite toppings.

Our research dug deep, to find as much as we could about Deep-Dish Pizza Day. The holiday was created by Chicago, IL based Uno Pizzeria and Grill, to celebrate the opening of their first restaurant outside of Chicago on April 5, 1979, in Boston, MA.
When this holiday was first created, it was called Deep Dish Pizza Day. The word “National” was somehow added in 2017.

To kids, Dandelion is a flower to gather and bring home to mom. Dandelions are so much more than just a Weed. Many gardeners think of the Dandelion only as a Weed. More knowledgeable gardeners know better. Dandelion leaves are edible and savored in Soups or Salads. Dandelion is rich in Vitamins A, B, C, and D. Dandelions are used in making Wine and Tea, too. Native Americans used Dandelion for Medicinal purposes.
You can celebrate National Dandelion Day in many ways. Including eating your lawn. Use this Holiday to introduce yourself to the joys of eating Dandelions. It is taboo to pull Dandelions or treat them like a Weed today.
Do not use Dandelions for food that come from treated lawns.
National Library Workers Day – Tuesday of Library week in April
April 13, 2021; April 12, 2022; April 11,2023; April 9, 2024; April 8, 2025
Today is dedicated to Librarians, as well as all library staff and administrators. This Holiday is in recognition of the hard work and dedication of those who support our literary and reference needs. When you enter your local library, you will find highly skilled workers who will quickly and efficiently help your find information on just about any topic. Liberians are so knowledgeable, that sometimes you might think they’ve memorized all the books in the library. Their Dewey Decimal System number and the shelf where they will be located.
To celebrate this Holiday, visit your local library and while you are there, make sure to thank all the library workers you see.

History and Origin of “National Library Workers Day”:
On January 25, 2003, a proposal was made by the American Library Association Allied Professional Association (AMA-APA), to recognize Librarians and the entire library support staff. The proposal also sought better compensation, in the form of higher wages and benefits. This proposal resulted in National Library Workers Day, an annual holiday. To this day, the association continues to promote all library workers on an annual basis.

Read a Road Map Day encourages us to take a step back in time. Discovering the value that Road Maps still have. Our GPS gets us to our destination in the quickest and shortest manner. Is your trip about the destination or the journey? Road Maps can help us to identify and plot routes that makes the journey a pleasant experience. There is so much to discover along the way. You can identify small and interesting Towns and Historic Sites along the way that may be passed by on today’s Superhighways.
As we researched Read a Road Map Day, it became blatantly obvious that something was missing. If you are looking at a road map it’s likely because you are contemplating a trip. It only makes sense then, that there should be a “Take a Road Trip Day”. Surprisingly, there was no such Holiday.
