It’s too bad I didn’t know about this Holiday when I was purchasing groceries, or I could have bought the ingredients and we could have had Pigs in a Blanket for dinner. Although I can hear Charlie saying why cook when we can pick Pigs in a Blanket up at the Donut Store.
Pig in a Blanket Day is a day to eat a Sausage wrapped in a Pancake. Because that’s what “Pig in a Blanket” is.
Somebody somewhere decided that Pigs in a Blanket was a very special treat to them. They created a Holiday to celebrate this recipe. Aren’t you glad that they did?
How does one go about celebrating Pig in a Blanket Day? Cook up Sausage and prepare Pancakes. Then wrap the Sausage inside of the Pancake. If you want your Pigs in a Blanket to be sweet, you could add Maple Syrup or a Syrup of your choice. Then, eat!!
History and Origin of “Pig in a Blanket Day”:
Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this Holiday but restaurants sometimes hold a “Pig in a Blanket” special. The roots of this Holiday may have come from a restaurant breakfast promotion.
Thank you,
