Ultimate Blog Challenge (UBC) Day 12 April 12th, 2023

Challenges

Before you ask yes, we are here again for the Ultimate Blog Challenge (UBC) Day 12 April 12th, 2023. No, I am not caught up and I still don’t know when or even if I am going to get caught up. Although, the LORD knows our needs and he knows I am trying. I will just keep putting one foot in front of the other and move forward one step at a time.

The prompt on the 11th reminded us today is “Big Wind Day!”

On April 12, 1934, the staff of the Mount Washington Observatory recorded the highest surface wind ever measured, anywhere on earth. This big wind was officially recorded at 231 miles per hour.

Our host let us know when he started to brainstorm ideas around Wind, he came up with these ideas:

  • What was the biggest storm you were in? What did you do at the time?
  • How does the wind affect your niche? Is it needed? Does it help?
  • What music do you think of when you think of the Wind? I think about the song, “Windy” by the Association.
  • What is something that is so special in your niche that takes your breath away?

What comes to your mind when you think about Wind??

I think of the Musical group Eart Wind and Fire or taking my niece Lily and Jason to fly a kite. Why Charlie says he likes to see where the wind will take things people have outside. Which isn’t something I like to do. Because when we lived in our Motor Home, I had to not only chase our trash cans over and over but our neighbors as well.

Even though I need the wind please don’t make it to windy as I have to run errands this evening and the wind can make cars shake. I don’t like being in them when they are doing this. How about you come share your thoughts on the wind with us. While I put on some music from Earth Wind and Fire.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

  1. wow, 231 mph is a strong wind indeed! Last month, we had some of the strongest winds in our area toppling down trees and fences and outing power for many in the area (while the winds on the valley floor where we live were around 60 mph, the strongest ones were on a mountain nearby at almost 100 mph)
and keep going one step at a time, that is what we need to keep doing, moving forward…
