In the Ultimate Blog Challenge July, 2020 Day 25 for your post today, write about a time you took a trip.
What was it for? Business? Pleasure? What are your ‘necessities’ when you travel? Do you have to have something with you when you travel (for me, I always bring a Bluetooth speaker so I can play music in my hotel room!)
Don’t forget to share your Day 25 UBC post first on your own website, and then head over to the Facebook group and share the URL of your post with the group.
If you are tweeting, use the #blogboost to let folks know you are part of the community!
Form November to know we have taken more trips to Oklahoma than I ever have. My dad becamse suddendly ill and collapsed in Octber and I went to be with him.
When we found out we was going to have to make decisions regarding my dads care. I was able to go back one more time to tell him good bye in person.
Then back up for the Funeral which my brother and sister planned as I couldn’t get away. Then in the last two months we have been working to close his house and to put it up for sale.
Dad’s house sold within 72 hours so my sister and Charlie went back up to finish packing. We came home and then had to return to sign papers on the house.
Then last night my brother called and asked me to come pick up a check for my nephew and to pick up a trailer. I thought after that time I would be done.
But it doesn’t look like it as my brother is using Charlie to mow and take car eof his yard. So we will be going up every two week. Which will allow us to check on my brother whose health is giving him isssues.
I am grateful the Lord is giving up these opportunities as I didn’t have them with my dad. I just wish my sister and brother could put there differences aside so we could all spend time together before someone else we love passes away.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
