Welcome to the Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 17! Yesterday we spoke about a specific date in history, today we are talking about a yearly date in history!
It is WHAT?!
Bat Appreciation Day! Who knew!
On your blog, you can write about your favorite species of Bats! Why do you like that species of Bats and what makes those your favorite?
OK – Were just kidding about that (unless you really DO have a favorite species of bat!)
Instead, you can mention today’s special day and relate the day to something that you might not like to do. Perhaps you are not enjoying one aspect of your business, but you push through that because you know it is good for you (just like having bats around are good to keep down the mosquito population).
Maybe you want to relate how bats make a migration each year and relate it to your annual trip to visit your parents or your grandchildren, or how you celebrate a holiday each year.
Let us reiterate one more time… You do not have to blog 100% of the time solely about your niche. Your readers like to connect with you on a personal level. When you share these personal insider stories about yourself, you are deepening the relationship you have with your readers!
Don’t forget to share your Day 17 post first on your own website, and then head over to the Facebook group at and share the URL of your post with the group.
If your tweeting, use the #blogboost to let folks know you are part of the community!
Bats and insects and snakes of any kind are not my favorite types of animals. But I know God created everything for a reason. So I try and tolerate them I just do not go near them at all for any reason.
So today I would like to share a memory with you from when I was in high school. I went to Carlsbad, New Mexico with a friend; His family wanted to go to a event where we would see Bats up close.
The Bats was flying around and you could almost touch them but I knew to overcome my hear I would need to sit still and let the Bats fly around me. I did and this was the hardest thing I had done but I was able to overcome my fear.
So this is what I use in my business as I just keep telling myself it is baby steps. Things will work out for the best of I rely on God. I would like to ask what you do to overcome obstacles that pop up in your business and how does it affect your friends and family?
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
