Ultimate Blog Challenge April 2018 Day 15

Welcome to Day 15! 2 weeks! They say we are doing. Mighty Fine! If truth is none, I am not as it is April 20th and here I am sharing Day 15ths post with you. My plan was to be caught up yesterday although that didn’t happen and it still might not happen today. Although I am trying. This son of mine who is Homeschooling is driving me up the wall this morning.

He is bouncing off the walls, and no, he hasn’t had any Sugar. I have concluded that if things don’t change and he doesn’t calm down, I am going to put him on Ritlyan which I have been fighting. But I can’t handle him being all over the house and not focusing on the things he should be doing.

It keeps him from accomplishing his work and distracts me to where I can’t get my work done. No, I am not blaming Charlie for being behind on the challenge although that is part of the reason I am back. The other reason is I didn’t let make my self-stay on task. So this morning no, matter what Charlie does I am bucking down and getting work done no matter what is happening in our home.

With today’s challenge, we were supposed to create a video, and both David, Charlie and I have been doing better at making them. So sometime this evening or over the weekend I will try and put a new one together to share with you. In the meantime, if you create videos come and share them with us. Also, share your YouTube channel as I am trying to grow my followers on there and we can help each other out.

I’ve said it before a video is the fastest way to get your blog noticed!

Consider that:

  • 50% of all mobile traffic is now video!
  • 65% of video viewers watch more than 3/4 of a video.
  • 78% of people watch videos online every week.
  • 55% of people watch videos online every day!

And here is a tip that will get people to open your emails (you are sending out your blog articles in an email newsletter right?)

When you use the word Video in an email subject line:

  • Boosts open rates by 19%
  • Increases click-through rates by 65%, and,
  • Reduces unsubscribes by 26%!

So the bottom line is, your blog can be in video format sometimes!

For today’s blog post, create a video entry and share with people an idea. Because it is video, it will be an exciting change for them!

These are just some ideas you can use – like them, great! If not, come up with your own.

Don’t forget to share your Day 15 post first on your website, and then head over to the Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/groups/UltimateBlogChallenge and share the URL of your post with the group.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
