The Mommies Reviews

Well finally I am back and able to share another post for the Ultimate Blog Challenge for April 2017. Day 11 yes, you heard me correctly we are on Day 11. I can’t believe that it is Day 11 already. Where has the time gone?

Now let’s get down to business and here are some tips for what to post today. Also, don’t forget there is still time to join us in this months Ultimate Blog Challenge. So I hope you join us as it is a beautiful way to make new friends as well as growing your blog.

Desert Time

What’s the best dessert you’ve ever eaten?

If you’re a cook, share a photo of it on your blog! And share the recipe, too.

You could take this idea and talk about your favorite restaurant, cooking show, or something food related.

Or you could go for allegory and talk about what the “icing on the cake” is for you in a particular experience, like the best customer service you’ve received, the best gift you’ve purchased or received, etc.

If you don’t think this applies to you, try this: blog about the last time you had your favorite dessert? What do you like it? Get personal in this blog post. People LOVE to connect when you share the personal side of you!

Don’t forget to share your Day 11 post first on your website, and then head over to the Facebook group at and share the URL of your post with the group.

If you are tweeting, use the #blogboost to let folks know you are part of the community!

My favorite dessert is from Cheddars a Restaurant here in Dallas/ Fort Worth. They make a Cookie Monster which I have been able to share with all the children in my life at one time or another including Suzzane. So, it holds many special memories for me.

I would like to ask you to check out Cheddars Cookie Monster and let me know if you would like to share one with Charlie and me if you’re in Dallas/ Fort Worth.

Enjoy made-from-scratch cooking in Fort Worth, TX

Whether it’s the feeling you get when you taste one of your favorite dishes or when you try a new and exciting flavor, food is at the heart of the matter when it comes to putting a smile on your face. At Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, that’s the way we make our food from scratch in our kitchen. From our fresh salsa, made in-house, to our finger-pinched Homemade Chicken Pot Pie crust, we start with whole ingredients and prep each item with care. It’s the way food is supposed to be prepared – the right direction, not the easy way. When made the right way, it just plain tastes better.

Day in and day out, we fire up the grills and prepare all our made-from-scratch food with you in mind. From the minute you walk in until the time you leave, treating you to excellent service, delicious food, and family-friendly experience.

To take you behind the scenes of our made-from-scratch approach, we’ve created the “Goodness” blog where we share stories of how we make some of our most favorite dishes, how our unique recipes created and which taste trends are in season, among other delicious details. But it’s not all about us. The blog also gives us a venue to share tips, trends, and lifestyle, health, and wellness info, as well as community content that might add a little goodness to your life.

Add it all up, and we hope you’ll see that we take the time and put in the effort – our food is not pre-made, but hand-crafted with unhurried care – to make a positive impact on our local community.

Stop by for a taste of goodness!

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
