True To Yourself: Daily Affirmations and Awesome Advice for Teen Girls

The Mommies Reviews

This is a review for Be True To Yourself: Daily Affirmations and Awesome Advice for Teen Girls (Gifts for Teen Girls, Teen and Young Adult Maturing and Bullying Issues) which I was sent to review. The thoughts in the review is mine and mine alone.

Before you ask no, I do not have Tween girls just a niece and one day she will be grown and may face some of the problems in this book. Which is why I wanted to read Be True To Yourself: Daily Affirmations and Awesome Advice for Teen Girls.

As I begin the book I knew before I was even half way through that I wanted to share the book with my Niece Alyssa who has Lily and Alex who has my nieces Payton and Dixie.

As I read more of Be True To Yourself: Daily Affirmations and Awesome Advice for Teen Girls I even found things I could share with Charlie about girls. Teaching him the right and wrong way to do things.

I like how there are task to do and the chapters don’t have to be read in order and it doesn’t take all day to read a chapter. All you need to do is sti aside 30 minutes to read the novel and answer the task it ask us to do.

I will be instilling some of the task like writing a Manifesto for ourselves and our Community in Charlie’s Homeschool Creative Writing Class. As Charlie is writing his out Manifesto I’m going to do one of my own.

Then have our family write out one for our family I will print out and hang above our dinning room table. To remind us of our goals for our family. Would you like to join us?

Day 198 is called Musical You which Charlie can use in our Homeschool Music class where we share our playlist with each other and discuss why we like those songs.

Be True To Yourself: Daily Affirmations and Awesome Advice for Teen Girls.

#1 New Release in Teen & Young Adult Maturing, School & Education, Bullying Issues, Dating & Intimacy

In this book of short daily meditations and essays, Amanda Ford, a young adult herself, offers stories, information, and advice on all the important issues facing young women today: boys, dating, drinking, self-respect, self-love, fights with friends, dealing with parents, and more.

Support for young women as they navigate one of the most confusing and challenging times of their lives. When Amanda Ford emerged from her tumultuous teenage years, she saw the need for a guide to help girls learn to listen to their inner voices and think for themselves.

Be True To Yourself is the big sister Amanda never had―and always wanted to be. It provides the encouragement and guidance she wished, as a teenage girl, that an older sister had given her, as well as stories and advice that she would have loved to share with a younger sister during her own teen years.

Your daughter, granddaughter, niece, or young friend will learn to listen to her heart with this coming-of-age guide. Girls will find comfort, encouragement, and insight in these pages, along with suggestions for articulating and confiding their feelings, fears, and frustrations. They will learn more about so many important topics introduced during adolescence, such as:

  • How to love yourself, boost your self-confidence, and receive compliments well
  • How to determine your own values, be true to yourself, and follow through on your promises
  • How to cherish your friends and family―even when they’re getting on your last nerve

If you appreciated self-development books for teens like  The Ultimate Self-Esteem Workbook for TeensJust As You AreYou Don’t Have to Learn Everything the Hard Way, or  Embracing the Awkward, then you’ll love Be True to Yourself.
