Transformers (film series)

I remember one evening when David and I was watching TV. Then a commercial for BUMBLEBEE came on. I couldn’t wait for Charlie to wake up the next morning. I wanted to let Charlie know about the movie and see if Charlie wanted to see this new film. You see Bumblebee is a spin-off of the Transformers (film series).

Charlie let me know he had seen the trailer but wasn’t to sure he wanted to see Bumblebee which surprised both David and I. Charlie has been watching the Transformer films since he was little. Charlie have even had a Transformer cake.

As well as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Toys and clothes. I didn’t say anything else to Charlie about watching Bumblebee. Then last Saturday we were going to the movies. While at the Theater Charlie said he wanted to see Bumblebee but it wasn’t playing at the time he could see it.

On Sunday we got up and even though we needed to clean the house and I needed to work on the blog. I let David know I wanted to go to the movies. David said ok what are we going to see. I let David know I wanted to watch Bumblebee and see why he was a VW Bug.

David let me know he wanted to see Bumblebee as well. Then he told me to find a theater that was showing Bumblebee. I looked up several Theaters. I found Bumblebee playing at Movie Tavern in Bedford, Texas. I let Charlie know we had decided to go to the movies.

Charlie asked what David and I wanted to see. As soon as I said I wanted to watch Bumblebee, Charlie said he also wanted to see Bumblebee. Off we went to the Theater and we purchased the tickets. I am so happy we chose Movie Tavern to watch Bumblebee at because we could have dinner inside the Theater.

Although it was pretty expensive to eat at the theater it was a nice treat for Charlie. We haven’t done that in a while. David was even able to order a beer and rest and relax while spending time with us. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend a Sunday.

Bumblebee was the perfect movie for my family to see. Even though I did get confused at times Charlie walked me through the film and helped me get up to date on who was in the movie. I can tell you that even if Charlie and David don’t want to purchase Bumblebee on DVD I do because I enjoyed the storyline a lot as well as the actor and seeing John Cena was the cherry on top of the cake. I would like to purchase the Transformers series and watch all of these movies with Charlie.

Even though at one time we had all the Transformer movies Charlie, and I or his friends have worn the DVD’s out and they need to be replaced. You can bet these movies will be added to the Wish List I am putting together on Gifts I want to get Charlie for Christmas this year.

In the meantime for those of you who haven’t seen Transformers here is the entire list of movies and a brief description about each of the films. If you have watched the Transformer films/ movies do you have a favorite? If so why is that your favorite movie? If you don’t care for the Transformer movies why?

On the run in the year of 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. On Cybertron, the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are on the verge of losing the Great Cybertronian War to enemies, the Decepticons, and begin making preparations to leave the planet.

The Decepticons led by Shockwave, Soundwave, and Starscream ambush them during the evacuation, and Optimus sends a young scout, B-127, to Earth in order to set up a base of operations where the Autobots can regroup.

B-127 reaches Earth alone in 1987, crash-landing in California and disrupting a training exercise being conducted by Sector 7, a secret government agency that monitors extraterrestrial activity on Earth.

Sector 7 lieutenant Jack Burns presumes B-127 to be a hostile invader and attacks, driving B-127 into the forest, where he is then ambushed by the Decepticon Blitzwing. When B-127 refuses to reveal Optimus’s whereabouts, Blitzwing spitefully tears out his voice-box and damages his memory core.

B-127 manages to destroy Blitzwing before collapsing from his wounds. Before entering stasis, B-127 scans and transforms into a nearby 1967 Volkswagen Beetle..

It’s 1987; the Earth is still in the middle of the Cold War, and out in the far reaches of space there is another horror coming: the robotic aliens from Cybertron, the Autobots and the Decepticons, are about to crash-land and bring their fight onto the Earth and change the human race’s destiny forever.

Bumblebee is set to be released on DVD on  March 21, 2019.
