This is a review for the book Together We Ride written by Valerie Bolling and illustrated by Kaylani Juanita in exchange for a copy of the book.
Charlie and I love riding Bikes together. We ride our bikes a lot in our Homeschool PE Class which is why I couldn’t wait to share Together We Ride with Charlie. As it would show him other families also ride Bikes together allowing them to Exercise which we all need to do on a daily basis.
Before we began to read Together, We Ride Charlie and I looked at the cover of the book. Charlie liked seeing the dad running beside the little girl even though we knew David wouldn’t do this with Charlie. Bur David might walk with Charlie or even ride a bike with us.
The water was calming and its lead to us planning a Homeschool Field Trip this Summer where we take our Bikes to the Lake to ride around the water and let me tell you I can’t wait to go because I also love Swimming and might talk Charlie into getting into the water with me.
Together We Ride is the perfect book to celebrate Black History Month with and any child of any age can read this book. I can see parents for years to come sharing this new book with their families. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out Together, We Ride I hope you will soon.

Meet the Author: Valerie Bolling
Valerie Bolling has been an educator for almost 30 years and a writer since age 4. She is a graduate of Tufts University and Columbia University, Teachers College and currently works as an Instructional Coach.
Her nieces inspired her to write picture books, and she wants children of all backgrounds to see themselves in her stories and feel valued and heard. Let’s Dance! is her debut book, and it is a winner of SCBWI’s Crystal Kite award. Valerie has two picture books releasing in 2022 and two more picture books and an early reader series slated for 2023.
Ms. Bolling and her husband live in Connecticut and enjoy traveling, hiking, reading, going to the theater … and dancing.
