Today is Memorial Day and David is working. So that means we can not have our usual picnic as David doesn’t get off until after 3 this afternoon. Nor can Charlie and I go swimming which I hate. As today is the perfect day to visit the lakes.
So this morning Dad got up and left with my sister to go and rent himself a car. As well as run some errands so Charlie and I have no, clue when he will be home either. Which means Charlie and I are at home by ourselves.
So we are getting ready to go to the park to play Soccer. Although Charlies friend Aiden may come over after lunch. Although I haven’t told Charlie as I want to make sure he shows up and if I tell Charlie and Aiden doesn’t come it would just upset Charlie.
So here we site in our living room watching the Golden Girls as we wait for Aiden to show up. Or even my dad as he might want to go somewhere now that he has a car. Or for David to get home as it gets tired just sitting in the house watching tv or going to the park all the time.
So my question for you today is what do you have planned for Memorial Day? Are you making a special dinner or going on a picnic? Or are you just staying in the house and resting?
