This is a review for the children’s book Tiny T. Rex and the Grand Ta-Da! from Chronicle Books. I received a physical copy of Tiny T. Rex and the Grand T-Da! in exchange for this review.
Charlie has always loved Dinosaurs just as Suzzane did when she was little. In our Homeschool were always studying Dinosaurs and this is why I couldn’t wait to share Tiny T. Rex and The Grand Ta-Da! with Charlie. Along with David who likes magicians. Although I like the cover of the book and the cute little Dinosaur on the cover. The pink makes the blue of the cover pop. Did you see the dinosaur hiding behind the cover?
I love how the one Dinosaur realizes he might not win on his own but together they can win. Everyone needs a friend to help them with the things they want to do. Which is why it was fun to see what each of the was good at and what they thought the other was good at. I liked finding out they had a mentor The Great Pesto they wanted to be like as it gives them something to work towards.
I liked that they had a assistant to help them and special words to use in their performance which we can use in our Homeschool Spelling Test. Did you know there is a magician’s code? I don’t want to tell you what happens at the end of the book but what I want to say is you need to read this story as soon as possible and see what happens when they remember there is an audience they have to perform in front of.
Charlie and I believe Tiny T. Rex And The Grand Ta-Da! is you younger children in elementary school but children in middle school and even high school might enjoy not only this book but the entire series. As well as all adults especially teachers and librarians. If I can I would like to purchase the entire series for my nephew Joe and also to add to our Homeschool library.
About:
In the newest picture book in the bestselling Tiny T. Rex series, lovable friends Tiny and Pointy challenge themselves when they enter the school talent show.
Tiny T. Rex and his friend Pointy really want to win their school’s talent show. And they think they know just how to do it: they will become great magicians, just like their hero, The Amazing Presto. Together they work hard on their act, including the grandest trick of all: to make something disappear.
But it isn’t easy to become magicians, and just when they’ve mastered their skills, they face an even greater challenge: performing in front of an audience! With their trademark humor and warmth, beloved duo Tiny and Pointy prove that every problem can be overcome as long as it’s met with patience and understanding.
