The Mommies Reviews

I would like to share a new book with you called The Worlds That Separated Us by Megan Jayne (Author) which I received a PDF Copy of from Voracious Readers in exchange for this review. Inside this post is my affiliate links. If you click on the links and make a purchase I will make a small percentage from the items you purchase.

The Worlds That Separated Us I would say is YA sci-fi novel. The Author has created a story about a recent college graduate, Rosie, and her discovery that her life isn’t what she thought it was, and neither is she. Rosie appears to be just a typical college graduate, until she’s in a car accident and wakes up staring into the face of a stranger. Then Rosie learns she’s not from Earth but another world which is now on the brink of war, and she might be the key to save her world from evil

Everything Rosie thought to be true is a lie. The world she thought was hers is not her own and she must prepare for a battle to fight for the one she originally came from. Suddenly she’s caught up in a war from another planet while torn between the life she has on Earth- and between two amazing boys.

If The Worlds That Separated Us had been out when I was in High School or when Suzzie was here we would have loved the book and now as a older women I still enjoyed the storyline and could even see my son Charlie and his friends reading the book and getting caught up in the storyline which has twists and turns.

The Worlds That Separated Us of I’ve read by  Megan Jayne (Author) but it will not be the last book of hers I will read because there is book two which is The Worlds That United Us (The Worlds Duology Book 2) and since the first book left a few questions unanswered were going to have to read book two. Would you like to join us and we can start our own book club.

About the book:

War will change her, forever.

University graduate Rosie is from Earth. At least she’s never had cause to question that before now. After a car accident and an oddly familiar stranger turn her world upside down, she is forced to question everything she thought she once knew. Thrust into a world of betrayal, loss, and love. Rosie faces an impossible choice between the two worlds she’s grown to love, or risk losing everything she’s ever cared about. All while an impending war is on the horizon.

The Worlds That Separated Us is the first book in a duology set within the Scottish Highlands by debut Irish author Megan Jayne. If you like fast paced plots with plenty of intrigue and romance, then you’ll love this captivating story that is sure to leave you wanting more. Perfect for fans of The Fifth Wave and The Trylle Trilogy.

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING

“I LOVED this book! It held my interest from the begining and I devoured this book from start to finish. This book was easy to read, but also kept me on edge waiting to see what would happen next. I am a sucker for a strong character personality that gives off “touch her and I’ll kill you” vibes and this is exactly what I was given in this story. I can not wait to see what the next installment of this duology brings.” ★★★★★

“The Worlds That Separated Us is a wonderful and incredibly rich fantasy novel, so well built and fast paced that I wasn’t able to put it down till i reached the end. I was absolutly captivated by the atmosphere and the characters. This novel submerges the reader in a landscape so imaginative and detailed that the information of the world building/plot never feels forced, and is never difficult to understand or picture in one’s mind. I had an enjoyable tie reading this and it held my attention the entire way through that i finished it within the day!” ★★★★★
