I would like to welcome you to The Ultimate Blog Challenge April 2nd, 2025. The prompt for the Challenge this morning was to share someone we admire and share why. Like you I’m sure you have a lot of people you could share.
I thought of David and Charlie and even my dad or my daughter Suzzane but I’ve shared why I admire them in the past. In the back of my mind I kept hearing you should share Granny Sherry which is David’s mom.
The more I thought about it I know she would be the perfect person to share this morning. Granny Sherry is one of the kindest people I know. She loves her family more than anything. Granny Sherry takes care of her disabled brother Dougie and David Sr. who has dementia.
No, matter what her sons needs especially my David she will find a way to do it. She has been Charlie’s biggest cheerleader since the day Charlie was born just like my mom. No, matter what Charlie needs or wants Granny Sherry tries to make sure Charlie has it
Granny Sherry and Dad even opened there home to David’s youngest daughter Leslie and my niece Alex to give them a safe home and a way to graduate high school. I can never thank Granny Sherry and Dad for all they’ve done for my family. I’m proud to call Granny Sherry one of my best friends.
If you have the time and the opportunity today stop by her page and say Hello because she isn’t able to get out like she used to and she get’s lonely always being home by herself even though David Sr. is there he sleeps most of the time.
If your in DFW drop a drink off to her or Flowers because like me Sherry loves gardening and collects Bird Houses. Charlie and Granny Sherry spend a lot of time working in her yard. I’m so grateful we live 20 minutes from them because Charlie is able to visit them multiple times a week. Unlike my parents when they were alive.
