The Spaces In Between: Finding Mindful Moments Anywhere

The Mommies Reviews

Before we begin school this morning, I wanted to share a new book with you The Spaces In Between: Finding Mindful Moments Anywhere by Jasprett Kaur and Manjit Thapp which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.

Storybooks are key in our lives as we Homeschool Charlie again this year and add new classes we haven’t taken before including a Poetry Class. Which is why I ‘m excited to bring you The Spaces In Between. I liked finding out this new book is a cross between a paper-back book and a hard back book. It’s also a little bigger than other books we’ve read.

Check out the cover and all the different activities the people are doing which you can use to create your own stories with. Charlie liked the car. I liked seeing people on a Bike. As for David he liked the Dog in the window which if you know David the way Charlie and I do then you know this is what he would have chosen.

I\m sure if you’ve watched any TV at all or knew anyone with Cancer that you’ve heard of the Mayo Clinic, and this is where you will find this book in June of 2023. Before you open the book to read the story you should find a comfortable chair just like the boy in the book did and remember to bring the book to read.

Today were going to visit the City which might make you feel shy but can be a lot of fun to see what all is happening. Please join us. The noises can be overwhelming which the Author explains to use helping us to remain calm while in a new place. look for special places you can regroup in like a store you enjoy.

I loved how the Author described all the places we could visit which made Charlie and I feel like we were inside those spaces which would help us remain calm no, matter what noises or things we saw. I like how the Author even mentioned a museum which would be a great place to go on a Homeschool Field Trip. Would you like to come with us?

I love how the Author took the time to include activities we can do when feeling worried that you and your family can do together no, matter what age you are. Would you like to join my family on a walk this morning? We can go to the Park to feed the Ducks while the kids play on the playground?

For parents looking for a new book for their children I believe children of all ages will enjoy this story as well as adults. Not only that everyone we know can and will learn something new from The Spaces In Between. I hope you take the time to purchase a copy of this book not only for your family but your friends as well. Also, check your children’s school library and make sure they have a copy of the book as well as the principals office to share with any children who are scared.

With all the commotion and crowds in the City, it can be a pretty overwhelming place especially for children. In a new children’s book from Mayo Clinic Press Kids, The Spaces in Between: Finding Mindful Moments Anywhere (Mayo Clinic Press Kids / June 27, 2023 / $17.99 ) Jaspreet Kaur uses accessible language to describe the feelings children may experience when they are overwhelmed by the sensations of the City, such as feelings of panic, a racing heart, dry mouth, and sweaty palms.

This beautifully illustrated children’s book delves into potential solutions for parents to introduce to their children with this engaging book, such as seeking out the “spaces in between” where they reclaim peace by enjoying quiet spaces like a Pond in the park, Museums, and Libraries. Children can also learn about mindful habits like breathing exercises, keeping a diary, and having a conversation or sending friendly wishes.
