David sat down this week to read The Phantom Enforcer and David begun the story he kept telling me what was happening and at times Charlie would over hear David so in the end we read the story as a family. Charlie and David enjoyed the magical elements and I like the Police Women and you should see the girl on the cover of the book she looks like a true bad a…. and from reading the story she.
I enjoyed Noah and Danny’s friendship and there magical adventures on the dangerous streets of Chicago’s south side. I wish I was with them and so did David and Charlie. This is a time-traveling adventure for middle grade readers and beyond. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone but you really need to read them in order or you may end up confused like I did at times. The first book is The Phantom Firefighter: A Magical Fantasy Trilogy (First Responder Book 1)
Be prepared because there is a cliff-hanger at the end of The Phantom Enforcer and you will need to read the next book to find out what happens. Before you ask if my families plans on reading it David and Charlie do and to bond with them I will also read The Phantom Healer: A Magical Fantasy Trilogy (First Responder Book 3. I hope you check out this new series and that you share it with your teenagers. I could see this book in school libraries.
About the book:
A supernatural journal. Two kids in over their heads. Can they lead a new Chicago police officer to success in the dangerous south side of the city?
Danielle and Noah’s curiosity gets the best of them when they find another magical diary about an officer’s second year in the country’s second-largest police force. While Dani comes to grips with being a minority female in a male-dominated profession, Noah joins the story as a phantom with unique magical abilities. They soon discover that their past trips have caused unforeseen historical consequences, including introducing an evil phantom with lethal powers.
They must now figure out how to return to the part of the story they interfered with and fix their mistakes. The kids seek help from the strange bookstore owner, but the spellbound solutions are risky and untested.
Can Noah master his newfound phantom powers to save the townspeople stuck in the books?
The Phantom Enforcer is the action-filled second book in the First Responder fantasy series. If you like adventurous kids, clever humor, and pages jam-packed with suspense, then you’ll love J.W. Jarvis’s blending of reality and enchantment.
3% of all book sales go to First Responders Children’s Foundation, which provides financial support to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
