The Marvelous Wonderettes

The Mommies Reviews

Before Covid hit and things shut down Charlie, David and I were attending Plays and the Symphony all the time and now two years later we haven’t been to a play or the Symphony in forever and it stinks. David and I miss the plays so much.

Charlie does as well because we would use them in our Homeschool Music Class. But once again the Lord was listening as I was on Facebook the other day and saw a post about the Marvelous Wonderettes being show inMansfield, Texas which I’ve been wanting to visit for A Day Out In and haven’t had the opportunity to.

But now with the Pickle Festival coming her and also Marvelous Wonderettes being shown I believe it is time to visit Mansfield, Texas. Would you like to come with my family to see this new play that is full of Music from the 50’s and 60’s? While watching the play watch out for my friend Nicole Morgan-Shephard.

The Marvelous Wonderettes

Join us for the smash Off-Broadway hit The Marvelous Wonderettes that takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy: four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade us with classic ‘50s hits. In Act II, The Wonderettes come together again to take the stage and perform at their ten year reunion. We learn about the highs and lows the girls have experienced in the past decade and are charmed to find that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together.

Featuring over 30 classic ’50s and ’60s hits, including Lollipop, Rescue Me, and Heat Wave,  The Marvelous Wonderettes will keep you smiling in this must-take musical trip down memory lane! Singing along and dancing in your seat is highly encouraged.
