“The Lion Communique” is a captivating collection of short stories bringing readers on a remarkable journey through various historical eras, ranging from the aftermath of the American Civil War to the World Wars, Vietnam, and the modern day. This collection of short fiction includes shades of alternative history, sci-fi, and fantasy themes of war and the natural rights of the animal kingdom are woven throughout.
This is defiantly not the genre of books I usually read but the cover captivated me with the Lion and being a book featuring horror using short stores I thought David and Charlie would enjoy the story and I was right. Both Charlie and David can’t wait to read more of his novels as soon as possible Charlie said.
About the book:
The Lion Communique are thirteen darkly wound stories that examine the struggle between good and evil from multiple perspectives. Jim Morrison in the wilderness of Shamans and psychedelics, capturing the soul of General William Tecumseh Sherman, mysterious forces at play in the trenches of WWI, southern gothic/noir, families at war, and the ghosts of our pasts that we carry with us, and the hope of redemption.
