The Jazz Monsters Big Band

The Jazz Monsters Big Band performs at 6 pm this evening. At AmericanLegion Post #655.The Jazz Monsters Big Band play music from the 1940’s and 1950’s as well as Patriotic selections.
I took Charlie and some of his friends a couple of months ago, and we were only able to listen to half the show as Charlie’s friends wanted to come home. Although Charlie said he preferred to stay we left so this evening when we return I am only bringing my family.
No matter what David or Charlie decide I plan on staying and listening to the music as well as watching the Dancers as some of the audience comes in costume which I enjoy,

They dress in clothes from the 20’s which makes me wish I had dresses, hats and shoes like that. Although I might be too self-conscious to wear the clothes because I am so heavy. But I know my sister wouldn’t be, and she would look wonderful in these dresses from the 20’s.

I have a question for you have you heard of The Jazz Monsters Big Band? If so what did you think of the Band? Where did you see them perform at? They also play at Chef Pointe Cafe in Watauga, Texas. If you haven’t been there for dinnerthey used to have the best food around. I say this because we haven’t been in a while.

NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED

Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Chef Point in Watauga, Tx is an excellent dining restaurant located inside a gas station.

But don’t expect the usual convenience store fare. A mixture of hearty American comfort food and Italian cuisine. Chef Point Café menu includes such delectable culinary creations as crab cakes topped with roasted bell pepper sauce, lobster bisque and grilled sea scallops in garlic butter.

Don’t you dare visit Chef Point Café without tasting the bread pudding smothered in hot cognac sauce, the bread pudding voted best among Fort Worth restaurants.

I was so excited when David found the episode on Food Network where they were at Chef Pointe Cafe as we had eaten there before and I knew what they said was the truth. One day I want to become this gentleman or at least meet him in person. I was sad that I didn’t know he was coming to Chef Pointe Cafe for I would have staked out the restaurant so that I would have had the chance to meet him.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
