A while back David and I were shopping at Hobby Lobby and getting ready to check out when I found this beautiful devotional on clearance. I knew I had to have the book because of the picture on the cover of a water pail with flowers in the background and the pretty blue Butterfly and the Bird. The book is called The Illustrated Words of Jesus for Women A Daily Devotional by Carolyn Larsen (Author) which not only do I plan on reading and sharing with my girlfriends but displaying on my book shelf as a picture.
I love how inside the book is a place for a inscription that says to a wonderful women and there name then from and yes, I did fill my book out to myself from myself and the date I purchased the book. The book is broken down into months of the year and each month has a inscription for the day.
Today’s talks about comfort vs. commitment: The quote ie verse says: it is written “Man shall not live by bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4 I’ve always heard this quote but I never knew the whole quote or that it came from the Bible. Have you heard of the quote and did you know where it came from?
The last page of the book is the cover in black and white which would look nice on my book shelf but I want my family to color it together in Charlie’s Art Class and then I will hang it over our tv. The book was published by Carolyn Larsen from Christian Art Publishers and I can’t wait to check out more of there work.
