The Hometown All Stars

I am sharing this post as part of a collaboration with Bloggin’ Mamas and The Hometown All-Stars. I received books and other items in exchange for my participation. All opinions expressed are my own.

Charlie and I were sent The Hometown All-Stars Package to check out.  I must tell you Charlie and I loved the books and we will be starting our own Baseball team this Summer. As well as using the books we received in Charlie’s homeschool reading class as it is hard to get Charlie to sit down to read. Which wasn’t the case with The Hometown All-Stars books?

The Hometown All-Stars is a book series for children that focuses on teaching early sports skills along with interactive, educational activities, and more importantly – fun! Kids ages 3-7 years old, parents, teachers, librarians, and others who want to promote “Less Screen, More Green” and get kids outside and active again!

The Hometown All-Stars series is also for parents who don’t know much about baseball and want to be ahead of the curve when their kids begin to play, for sports enthusiasts looking for a book that doesn’t involve talking animals to read at bedtime to their children, and for anyone interested in promoting the love of baseball and sports overall to a new generation.

The Hometown All Stars Team

Nick’s Very First Day of Baseball teaches children about baseball using real coaching techniques. In this interactive storybook, kids will find hidden baseballs in the pictures, answer trivia questions, and there’s even a page for autographs from their favorite players. Fun, interactive and educational.

Nick's Very First Day of Baseball

Charlie and I enjoyed reading Nick’s Very First Day of Baseball. Because Charlie has been wanting to play but is scared. Although since reading Nick’s Very First Day of Baseball. It helped calm Charlie’s nerves and helped him learn everyone has these feelings. This new book allowed Charlie and I to learn something new about Baseball that we didn’t know.

                                                                                              Magic Bat Day

Magic Bat Day Cover
Magic Bat Day is the first real practice after the Hometown All-Stars get their uniforms. Batting is the most fun of all skills and drills! This book shows techniques of how to hold the bat and where to stand. Most importantly, it shows that every kid can find their own ‘magic’ bat and the magic within themselves to hit the ball!

Magic Bat Day was Charlie’s favorite book because he loved how they all got uniforms. As Charlie has been asking when we start our team if we can get uniforms. So he has been working on how they can make the money to purchase them. Also, we have been able to incorporate Magic Bat Day into our school lessons and I am so happy we have. As this has improved Charlie’s reading and spelling. Charlie seems more focused and confident in the things we ask him to do.
