The Great Christmas Pirate Battle

Welcome to the Christmas Gift Guide  for young readers. Charlie and I will be reading The Great Christmas Pirate Battle by Michael G Lewis. I can’t wait to see what The Great Christmas Pirate Battle is about. Charlie is excited as well because we both like Pirates.

The Great Christmas Pirate Battle is a novel I received so we could conduct a review on the book. The thoughts inside this review are mine and my families and no, one else.

With Christmas right around the corner I always look for new and unusual books I can purchase for Charlie. I want Charlie to grow up loving to read just as Suzzane and I do. or my dad.

I would like to let you know I was BLESSED when I received the Press Release asking me if I would like to read The Great Christmas Pirate Battle because I knew The Great Christmas Pirate Battle would be a huge hit with Charlie.

Once The Great Christmas Pirate Battle arrived I had to hide them because I was so excited I wanted to share the novels with Charlie right away.

Although I knew they would make nice addition for us to read on Christmas Eve. Allowing  us to add a new book to our collection. We can read The Great Christmas Pirate Battle each year and share these books with our friends and family.

I sat down and read The Great Christmas Pirate Battle by myself so I could write the review. After Christmas Charlie can share his thoughts with you on The Great Christmas Pirate Battle which I’m sure Charlie will love as much as I did.

The illustrations inside The Great Christmas Pirate Battle are eye catching. The colors in The Great Christmas Pirate Battle pop.

I loved how the story was told and I can see Charlie and I acting The Great Christmas Pirate Battle out after Christmas.  Would you like to come to our Play?

The words in the book will be fun to see Charlie try to pronounce which will help with his sounding out. The Great Christmas Pirate Battle will help Charlie with his reading which he struggles with sometimes.

I showed The Great Christmas Pirate Battle to David who had me read the book to him because as there were words in The Great Christmas Pirate Battle he couldn’t read.

David loved The Great Christmas Pirate Battle as much as I did. David even let me know he would like to find other Pirate themed books for Charlie.

David said The Great Christmas Pirate Battle would be a nice gift for Charlies teacher as well as his grand kids for Christmas. Which surprised me because David doesn’t think books make nice gifts. David prefers to give toys.

All in all The Great Christmas Pirate Battle was a huge success. If I was homeschooling I would use The Great Christmas Pirate Battle when we did our reading lessons plus I would use this in our in Art class.

I would also use The Great Christmas Pirate Battle to teach taking things that aren’t yours isn’t nice.

From the Inside Flap

Yo ho ho and a bottle of eggnog! Cap’n McNasty’s come with his crew of scalawags to plunder Christmas presents from sleeping children. Their daring raid pays off in sweets and toys, much to the pirates’ delight.

As they happily bounce on their hornswoggled pogo sticks and scarf down Christmas cookies, the pirates vow to steal gifts every year-but their plans are shaken up like a bowl full of jelly when Santa and his elves arrive!

Holiday hijinks ensue as the pirates get their halls decked and plums sugared. The rapscallions are tied up in tinsel and seemingly foiled, but Cap’n McNasty won’t go down without a fight! He and St. Nick square off in a duel of hook versus candy cane that could determine the very future of Christmas.

This rollicking tale features hilarious illustrations and hidden surprises on every page. Wickedly witty rhymes will leave visions of ballistic fruitcakes dancing in readers’ heads.

The young-and young at heart-will roar at this clever tale of merry mayhem year after year. Parents and children will never forget the most important lesson of all: if you’re a pirate, shiver your timbers and shut your doors, because Santa Claus is coming to town!
