Love Is In The Air

The Mommies Reviews

My dad like myself is a avid reader. Because of his love of reading my dad is always rereading the same books over and over. My father doesn’t like spending money on new books. Even though he has plenty of money.

Charlie and I aren’t able to visit my father as much as I would like. I’ve decided once a month Charlie and I will sit down and wright my dad a letter. Although we call my dad each week the letter will allow my dad to get to know Charlie in a new way.

Along with the letter I plan on sending my father a Care Package of products I know my dad enjoys. Inside the Care Box I will be placing Westerns so my father always has something new to read.

Like me my dad has a favorite Author Louis L’Amour only Mr. Louis L’Amour has passed away. There will be no, new books published by Louis L’Amour and my dad has most of the books Mr. L’Amour has written.

My dad has to find a new Author that has a published a series of Westerns. Or my father will need to pick up various novels that catches his eye when in the store. Which again my dad will not do because he doesn’t want to spend money on books.

The other day we were in Walmart. I was picking up a book for Charlie and I. David brought me The Frontiersman by William W. Johnston. David asked me if my dad had read this new novel.

I told David I wasn’t sure if my father had or even if my dad had heard of William W. Johnstone. We went ahead and picked up The Frontiersman which will be the first book we send my dad.

I can’t wait to see what my father thinks of the story line and the style of writing. If my dad enjoys The Frontiersman I will see if William W. Johnston published other novels which I can purchase for my dad.

THE GREATEST WESTERN WRITERS OF THE 21ST CENTURY

The first book in a magnificent new series by America’s bestselling Western writer: here is the towering saga of Breckenridge Wallace, a new breed of intrepid pioneer who helped forge a path through the wild American frontier…

THE FRONTIERSMAN

In Tennessee, 17-year-old Breckenridge Wallace knew the laws of nature. When his life was in danger, he showed a fearless instinct to fight back. Killing a thug who was sent to kill him got Breckenridge exiled from his Smoky Mountain home.

Brutally wounding an Indian attacker earned him an enemy for life… Now, from the bustling streets of St. Louis to the vast stillness of the Missouri headwaters, Breckenridge is discovering a new world of splendor, violence, promise and betrayal.

Most off all, he is clawing his way to manhood behind the law of the gun. Because the trouble he left in Tennessee won’t let him go. A killer stalks his every move. And by the time he joins a dangerous expedition, Breckenridge has only had a small taste of the blood, horror and violence he must face next—to make his way to a new frontier…

Being the all-around assistant, typist, researcher, and fact checker to one of the most popular western authors of all time, J.A. Johnstone learned from the master, Uncle William W. Johnstone

He began tutoring J.A. at an early age. After-school hours were often spent retyping manuscripts or researching his massive American Western history library as well as the more modern wars and conflicts. J.A. worked hard–and learned.

“Every day with Bill was an adventure story in itself. Bill taught me all he could about the art of storytelling. ‘Keep the historical facts accurate,’ he would say. ‘Remember the readers, and as your grandfather once told me, I am telling you now: be the best J.A. Johnstone you can be.'”
