I would like to introduce you to a children’s book The Fire of Stars” The Life and Brilliance of the Woman Who Discovered What Stars Are Made Of which I received a copy of from Chronicle Books in exchange for this review.
The Fire of Stars is a book I knew Charlie would enjoy as he has always wanted to learn more about Stars and the Planets. Charlie and David was surprised to find out the book was about a woman which none of us had heard of before. As we read the book Charlie wanted to know if there is more lady Astronomers and Astrophysicist, we can study in our Homeschool leading us to new lessons.
Charlie and I loved the cover of the book and the night sky. Charlie is so funny he said he wished we still lived in our mobile home, and he would have climbed one of our trees to look at the stars from. Which might be fun, but I don’t plan on climbing a tree. How about you? Would you want to?
I thought the young lady was pretty. I loved her red hair. Don’t you? We opened the book and before we could begin reading the story David and Charlie wanted to look at the pictures which will capture your attention and lead to many questions that you will find the answers to when you read the book.
I love how this book teaches us nothing is as it seems and not to ever give up on our dreams. Seeing her move and began in a new Country was amazing and Charlie was surprised to find women weren’t as well known in Science back then as now leading to even more Homeschool lessons for our family.
