This is a review for the cookbook The Eleven Cookbook Recipes Inspired by the Elves of Tolkien which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.
Mine and David’s Wedding Anniversary is coming up in May. I would like to make dinner for him because he is always cooking for me. As I was racking my brain trying to decide what to fix this cookbook arrived. the Elves of Tolkien are in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings two of David’s favorite movies.
I’ve decided I will fix recipes from this cookbook and purchase The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings movies to watch that evening with David. To start our meal off I plan on serving The Elvenking’s Red Wine Punch because David loves Wine and I will make a non- alcholic version for Charlie and I that evening.
I like that this Wine will serve 10 people encase we decide to host a party it would allow everyone to have a glass of the Punch. Taking only 5 minutes to prep we could do this before starting dinner. With the leftover Fruit from the Punch we could make a appetizer tray or a Dessert like a Fruit Cobbler I know David would enjoy.
For the main course I would like to make David Avari Venison Tagine which has Vension in it which David likes. But I would switch out to Stew Meat for Charlie and I. As well as leave out the Onion in all of our recipes because Charlie and David don’t care for them while I love Onions. Do you like Onions?
I also would leave out the Dried Prunes and Apricots or I don’t think any of us would eat this recipe. Just like all good cooks who turn recipes into their own creations by adding and taking out ingredients they don’t care for. Allowing you to make a favorite recipe for your friends and family you will be able to hand down to your children.
More than 80 thematic recipes inspired by J. R. R. Tolkien’s novels of Middle-earth.
From Elrond’s famous feasts at Rivendell to Galadriel’s gift of Lembas Bread to the Fellowship of the Ring, the foods made by Tolkien’s Elves are mysterious, ethereal, and elegant. The Eleven Cookbook Recipes Inspired by the Elves of Tolkien provides readers with an experience from the world of Tolkien like no other, featuring more than 80 delicious recipes inspired by the mythical race.
With recipes such as Silmaril Breakfast Friands, Lúthien’s Asparagus Tart, and Rivendell Roast Lamb, this beautiful cookbook captures all the majesty and otherworldliness of the Elves’ way of life and delivers a treat for your taste buds and imagination alike.
