Isn’t he a doll? I can tell you Charlie would like to meet him and to have him as our neighbor.

My family loves watching plays here. The refreshments are always fresh and the Popcorn is so tasty. David enjoys having a drink before the Plays begin.

I like knowing the FireHouse Theater can become a tad bit cold. They provide blankets for us encase Charlie and I forget ours. Or our jackets aren’t keeping us warm enough.

The Aviator was one of my favorite characters and if she was flying the Plane I might actually take a trip. How about you?

No, matter where we’ve been seated we can always see the Stage and never have a problem hearing the Actors. Charlies favorite seat is on the back row and this is one time heights doesn’t bother Charlie or I.

The Drowsy Chaperone and her outfits were so cute. At times she reminded me of Cher. You should her here sing. It’s magical.

I was able to make a spelling list and Vocabulary list for Charlie to do before we headed out to see the Drowsy Chaperone because I knew words like Chaperone would be something Charlie might not know.

Throughout the play Charlie made notes of the music and dancing he saw to go over this week in our Art class and music class. We even found the Album online we will be purchasing.

The Drowsy Chaperone (Original Broadway Cast Recording)
The Drowsy Chaperone is a musical with book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar and music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison. It is a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s. The story concerns a middle-aged, asocial musical theatre fan. As he plays the record of his favorite musical, the fictional 1928 hit The Drowsy Chaperone, the show comes to life onstage, as he wryly comments on the music, story, and actors.
The Drowsy Chaperone debuted in 1998 at The Rivoli in Toronto and opened on Broadway on 1 May 2006. The show was nominated for multiple Broadway and West End theatre awards, winning five Tony Awards and seven Drama Desk Awards. The show has had major productions in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, London, Melbourne and Japan, as well as two North American tours.

To create a lesson plan:

The Actor who was narrating the play did a fantastic job and Charlie said he wished he was our neighbor so he could learn about other Musicals through him.

David loved the Chaperone and her outfits and the way she talked. David enjoyed teaching Charlie about Probation and helping him look it up online for school.

The Cast from The Drowsy Chaperone.

I feel in love with the Couple and wanted to be there to support them in there mishaps. The Drowsy Chaperon is a play Musical we would like to attend again and to bring our friends and family to.

I wonder if The Drowsy Chaperone was a Musical my Uncle Chuck would have seen and what he would have thought of the play and why. Because I believe he would have loved The FireHouse Theaters performance and I know he would have wanted to meet the CHAPERONE and I am sure he would have wanted to invite her to dinner.

Charlie, has been asking if I can find out the dance moves they used which included Tap and if can sign up for classes. For me wanting to lose weight Tap classes would be the perfect addition to my exercise routine. Would you like to join us?

If you haven’t had the opportunity to see The Drowsy Chaperone I hope you take the time to because I know you will enjoy this show just as much as we did.
